Coins - Questioning Their Use...

Does each track have just one leaderboard? (ie. all scores together irrespective of powerups?) How about a "naked" leaderboard specficially for runs with no powerups? That would address some of the criticism of coins - it would give a reason for doing runs with no powerups.

I have thought a barebones leaderboard would be cool too.

ideally when the game came out, there would have been 4 leaderboards available from the main menu:

- Bare bones core songs
- Bare bones +DLC
- Powerups Core songs
- Powerups +DLC

i feel missing out the core song leaderboards at the very least isnt very welcoming to anyone who hasnt played any previous rockband games (for whatever reason, aka no liking music instrument games).

There is no reason to separate DLC and "on disc" song leaderboards. I do want to make some no power up score wars but right now you have to take the word of the other person.

Thats a bit of overkill IMO but hey, more variety means more happy players means I support the concept in spite of my gut reaction.

is that a joke? can u seriously not see why an overall leaderboard if unfriendly to anyone who hasnt played/bought any rockband dlc previously.

It's not a joke. If someone gets turned off because they aren't at the top of the leaderboards making more leaderboards isn't going to do anything. If you are going to make different leaderboards you are going to have to separate RBN songs as well. Leaderboards for single songs is all that I need.

There is a leaderboard for each song and then there is a career leaderboard.

Believe it, man, I've connected to facebook but I have literally not used it at all. once I unlocked three powerups, I started using them and I haven't stopped using them at all. I always stick around 500-1000 coins, in general, so I don't end up saving a ton, but I always earn more or as much as I spend on any one song.

there is only a leaderboard for total score (including dlc) so basically, if your a huge rb fan with massive amounts of dlc, you can dominate without the need to even score well on songs, and of course, anyone who is only interested in RBB is left standing in the dust, even if they are the best player.

but 3 powerups in a play costs 750 coins, and you cant earn over 600 coins as far as im aware without playing a new song every single time u play, which will run out eventually...
