Yes that's a bit more bluntBut I didn't see why it was such an obviously blown call. It seemed like they both had it, and either side would have been complaining if the call went against them (is that maybe true anyway?).

The Seahawk player only has one hand on the ball until the the scuffle happens at the end
You can see in this picture that there is no way the Seahawks player could have had both hands on the ball.

Okay, shifting the talk from hating replacement refs now out of work back to some football, Baltimore barely beat the Browns tonight.
Also, No. 8 Stanford loses against Washington, who overcame a 10 point deficit to win that game.

Oh snap, I traded Kevin Smith and Andy Dalton for Joe Flacco two weeks ago because I was sick and tired of Worthlessberger's shenanigans, and suddenly Flacco is tearing up the league
Meanwhile Kevin Smith has been completely removed from the offense for no discernible reason because Lions coaches
Suddenly after starting 0-2 I am right back in the thick of things

I'm sorry, is that okay? You sure? Ha, alright. Okay. Sorry though
Since no one really explained it thoroughly, let me try.
The rule is: If both players grab the ball simultaneously, the "tie" of the catch goes to the offense. It's like in baseball when a tie goes to the runner. However, to call it a tie, both players would have to have grabbed the ball with both hands at the same time. What happened was the Green Bay player grabbed it with both hands, and the Seattle player had only one hand on the ball. This is what the refs missed, and possession should have gone to Green Bay.
Why did the refs call it this way? There are a few reasons.
1) They're completely unqualified and have no clue how to position themselves for getting a clear view of the play, as well as not knowing basic NFL rules. This is where having experienced officials come into play. They know the rules and how to get into a position where they can clearly see the result.
1a) The call was made by an official who was fired from the Lingerie Football League. If you don't know what the Lingerie league is, it's just female models dressed in, you guessed it, lingerie playing football. The official was fired from this league. I'll let that sink in a bit...
2) Being unqualified and replacements on top of it, this leads to the refs being easily intimidated by players, coaches, and fans.
3) The game was played in Seattle, which is one of the loudest stadiums in the league with one of the loudest fan bases.
3a) Adding 1-3 together, of course the refs would make a call in favor of the home team.
4) Throw in any betting conspiracy you'd like; that last call completely flipped the bets for that game.
As far as that pass interference penalty people are talking about: During the play, when the ball is in the air you're not allowed to push or grab or really do anything to a player, offense or defense. What the Seattle player did was shove one of the Green Bay players to the ground while the ball is in the air. Hence, a penalty should have been called on the Seattle player, which would have ended the game in Green Bay's favor.
And yes, either team would have complained, but there's a difference between complaining about an obviously wrong and blown call, and complaining that you didn't catch a break because the official ruled correctly. I've seen quite a few Seattle fans not celebrating the win because it was the former.
RE Cleveland vs Baltimore:
Is it just me, or is it weird to think that the Ravens Offense is carrying their Defense now?

Well thank you CJ =) That's very helpful. I also heard that one of the replacement officials was heard telling a player that he hoped he had a really good game, because he was on the official's fantasy football team. The hell?
I do just have to point out
Thaaaaaat's a myth. It's not in any rulebook. In fact, just the opposite is in the rulebook -- it spells out that to reach base safely, a runner must get there before the ball does. Not sure how "tie goes to the runner" got started, because it's not and never has been a rule.
Wow, UT. Learn to tackle. Exciting ending, but not a very impressive defensive showing. Oh well, a win's a win. Time to get ready for WVU, who judging by today's game against BU, has a pretty explosive offense.
Lawdog - "That may be the dirtiest thing anyone has ever said on here."
Baylor is awful on defense. I don't think WVU is much better.
I think UT is going to win next week, but I'm pulling for WVU just because it would be awesome if WVU and Tech were both undefeated in two weeks. Would probably get gameday with all the storylines that would be talked about.
...that is of course as long as we take care of business against Oklahoma, a team we have given trouble lately.
