Breast cancer awareness is a big topic nowadays (and rightly so)

Ehh..not really. Did anyone need a pink penalty flag to make them aware that breast cancer kills a lot of women (and a few men)? And on the same note, wearing pink to a sporting event makes people feel like they've "done their part" when they haven't really done jack ****. Some people think stuff like this actually does more harm than good.

Except the NFL IS a big supporter of Breast Cancer Awareness and does donate money to the cause.

Good. Good for them. I assume by "awareness" you meant "research," because that's where the money is needed. "Awareness" is a PR campaign.

I think you missed my point a little. A lot of fans think that way. Of course the billion-dollar-a-year leagues can spare a few millions.

Yeah when I heard about this I was surprised they havent done it yet. But they are only doing it for the Jets game this week.

Actually they are using them for the Dolphins game, not the Jets game

You just seem to be demonizing the NFL because of their Breast Cancer stuff.

No I'm "demonizing" everyone who thinks reminding people that pink is a color that exists is doing jack squat to fight a deadly disease. My own alma mater volleyball team is guilty of it, too. So is MLB, with their stupid pink bats. It's everyone, not just NFL.
