Anyone having trouble 5* Easy songs with few notes?

I can 5* the "hard" songs with tons of notes no problem but easy songs like Diamond Eyes I cant even come close. I also cant think of a combo of power ups to make it easy.
Is it just me or are the easy songs, now the new hard songs lol.
