Ooby Dooby does NOT count as a 50s song

Ooby Dooby shows up as a 50s song in the Rock Band Blitz store but once purchased, it sorts as 1987 because it is a rerecord. I bought it expressly to get the play a song every decade achievement. Once I purchased Walk the Line by Johnny Cash, the achievement popped. This thread is a warning for achievement enthusiasts. Also, how do I get a refund? :P (I'm serious.)

EDIT: Hmm, just saw the other thread about this, but the thread starter had to go and make a dramatic statement instead of getting right to the point.

At least it's a fun song to play in RB, on guitar at least. Drums suck.

Which is why I ended up merging the two under your title.

Yes, we do. This is an example of false advertising. The Music Store told me what I was purchasing, but that information was incorrect, and I would not have purchased it had the information been correct.

I've actually written Harmonix and demanded they refund me my 160 points and fix the incorrect information in the Music Store.

The bottom line: the achievement was included in the game. A lot of players probably don't have '50s songs, because a lot of music game players (being fairly young) don't like Johnny Cash, so they never bought his songs. So now we have this achievement, so people will be purchasing songs from the '50s to get the achievement. Little do they know, even though the seller says the song is from the '50s, it's really not.

False advertising --> Purchase made because of false information --> Possibly illegal? --> Refund

I sincerely doubt they'll be like, "Oh, sorry we lied to you about what you were buying and expressly told you incorrect information about the product, but we can't refund you."

There was no intent to deceive, so it's not false advertising. There should be refunds, however.

You bought it agreeing to the terms that there would be no refunds, so Harmonix's email lackey will just get a laugh out of your entitled email and then move on with their day.

Ooby Dooby has two dates assigned to it, original and rerecord, and the Music Store displayed one. It's not incorrect.

It's $2. Reach into your couch cushions, I'm sure you can find another $2.
