To be fair, there aren't many 50s songs available, so every single one sticks out. If a song is labeled as 50s in the store and on this site, it should be safe to assume it will sort to 50s in the game as well. You shouldn't have to do research to know whether something is what it says it is.

That said, it's just $2. I'm sure you've wasted more money on worse things.

By emailing Harmonix and complaining about this and having someone read and respond to your petty email you have wasted Harmonix's money. So expect an email from them asking for a refund for their time and money that they spent replying to your complaining.

    Album listed for Ooby Dooby

Album listed for the Johnny Cash songs. And the second Roy Orbison pack is from the same album, but the songs sort to 60s in game. Your point?

The fact is, the date listed in the store doesn't match the date listed in the game, and with very few 50s songs, people are likely to get it for the goal only to find out that it doesn't work, as threads like this demonstrate. Whether it's the store or the game that needs to change, it's something that should be fixed.

That's really too bad because I really enjoy it. I do not enjoy the Johnny Cash songs.
I never thought a game would be able to inspire the formation of a real band or strengthen friendships. Thank you Harmonix, for making Rock Band.

I ran into this, too (buying the song thinking it counted for the 50s back before RBB came out when I saw the achievements list) but one weird thing I noticed is that even though it displays 1987 as the year when you're in the song library, if the song shows up on the Recommendation screen the year is listed as 1956:

Again, it has two dates. Original release date, and the date the rerecord(which it is) comes from.

Maybe it's just the day I've been having, but I found this hilarious.

Also, I don't get what people are arguing about anymore. Yep, Ooby Dooby is labeled as a song from 1956 (which it is), but unfortunately the game treats it as a 1980's song since that's when the re-record was made (Which this is).

You spent $2, it's a bummer. But as per the terms of the purchase agreement you aren't going to get it back.

If this is the worst thing that's happened to you, consider yourself lucky.

Well, RB2 puts it in the 50's, if I remember right. 3 moved it to 80's.

But Harmonix did say they're looking into it. But if they can't fix it without reuploading a 'fixed' version, they just won't bother.
