One Week 1st XBL (out of 111,782 scores)

Epsilon82, I still have no idea how to utilize Road Rage properly because I don't ever use it. I always use Jackpot/Blast/Super [usually Guitar]. I'd say the only general advice I could give that isn't obvious is that the usage of Jackpot becomes more critical as the song progresses; your performance at the end of a song is exceptionally more important than at the beginning of a song, so be sure to save a full Overdrive for the end of songs. There are exceptions, of course, if the end of a song doesn't have very many notes. Also, after the last checkpoint, don't bother trying to go out of your way to increase all the multipliers; playing out your Super instrument will likely be more profitable than gaining a couple thousand points by increasing the remaining multipliers

Ugh...that's a real bummer to me. I don't want to have to resort to nonsense like using pinball on single instrument songs to compete on the Career Leaderboard, but if people are getting an extra 50,000,000 off of that, it looks like I have to choice but to do it myself. Hell, that's almost as much as my legitimate Career score is having played 268 songs so far...

Thanks...I figured you were using Jackpot, and it seems obvious that players of exceptional skill will invariably get far better use out of that powerup than anything else. I just use Road Rage primarily because even though I'm fairly skilled, I tend to choke when pressure is really on, and also Road Rage makes it much easier to get multipliers up and on occasion very nice points with just "fire and forget." I think I'm going to use Jackpot in the future when I'm really trying to raise a score. Road Rage seems good for "sight reads" but Jackpot is obviously the way to go, especially since as you said the payouts get crazy the further into a song you go.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions about the Super Lane at the very end. Sometimes it's hard for me to break my pattern of jumping all over the place, but it's good to know that it is indeed usually better to just "stay home" on the Super lane. One thing that absolutely kills me sometimes is that I'll go chase down a blast note, only to find that it busts a LONG sustain at the very end. That's just brutal...sometimes there are 10,000-20,000 extra points on those.
