I hate Linkin Park

Anybody have any luck with the Linkin Park songs? I have 5 starred or gold starred every song I've come across with the exception of these four LP songs:

- Breaking The Habit
- New Divide
- Numb
- Shadow of the Day

My problem is I can't get the multipliers up high enough usually because the bass doesn't have enough notes. My go to power ups are usually Jackpot-Blast Notes-Super Instrument (usually guitar). Anybody have any suggestions on how to do better on these?

I only have the first 3, and I haven't GSed Numb yet. On songs like those, I usually play the note on Bass, then quickly switch to another track and play it until I have to hit the next Bass note.

You could try cheesing those songs with hitting a bunch of flame notes under jackpot. If you can pull it off which should be easy to do on Linkin Park songs you should be able to GS regardless of your multipliers.

That's interesting, zage...I've been such a Blast Note fanboy that I haven't even really considered using anything else, but it does sound like Flame Notes with Jackpot could be very lucrative. I'll have to give that a shot, although I need to be careful about playing new songs at this point since I'm very close to 1,000 and that horrific crash bug.

Maybe that explains why some of your scores seem unreachable for me? :-)

How else did you think I got the Child in Time GS ...there now you know how to do it

What usually happens is there may be only 6 bass notes in a section, and the multiplier only moves up every 3rd note, making it impossible to get the multiplier up all the way. Conversely, there is not enough going on for the other tracks to get any real use out of Jackpot. The songs are too slow and the notes are too sparse, (especially Shadow of the Day).

I am going to try again later with the new power up tweaks Pope mentioned today.
