Is Rock Band Blitz Better Or Worse With A Coin System? (New and Improved!)

Voting 'Better' could mean you think it's perfect now or could be improved. Voting 'worse' is a straight up 'Nah, it should just be gone'.

I doesn't really even matter, in this poll, what people really mean by this poll, because coins aren't going to be taken out. Sure, I know I would probably like the game better without coins but I know that's not an option. A poll that would make more sense IMO would be if the three answers were "I like the coin system just the way it is", "I could really care less", and "I think the coin system needs improvement". That type of poll seems much more productive.

I know the coin system isn't going to be taken out and I really never expected it to be, if that was aimed at me. I've posted my idea of a solution a few times now, but nobody seems to really say one way or another if they like it or not, so.

I would personally have got rid of 'undecided' and put in 'The system needs tweaks' instead, but I think the poll has done its job and shown pretty much what the current opinion on the coin system is.

Right, what I'm saying is that, at this point, instead of continuing this poll it might be a better idea to create another poll where we can gain an understanding of who actually wants the coin system tweaked, maybe even have more specific options on the poll about general ways in which they want it tweaked.

Ah, so you agree that those 19 guys who so far say 'better' while the 23 guys who say 'worse', some of those 19 guys could be unhappy with the current system as it stands and think it could do with refinement?

I'd co-sign this. The question isn't "Should it have THIS coin system", but "should it have /A/ coin system".

What I would have liked is if the entire thing were run on the game, like with the RB2 tour challenges. Instead for some reason we have to go on Facebook and sign up for challenges. I never wanted to use Facebook again, but now with most of my clients not even checking their email as much as Facebook, and now Blitz, it seems that I have no choice.

I don't like coins at all. It's a bland restriction and makes this insanely fun game much less enjoyable. I literally felt pain when I played a song with 3 powerups, got 5 stars (I'm not that awesome yet) and only got 300 coins. It feels like playing a Facebook game where you have to pay for money (except you can't in this case) instead of a game I own and where I want to play songs repeatedly to get the best possible score, like RB3.

I like them, but I'd feel a bit better about them if I had something else I could spend them on.

I mean, Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall and Clocks aren't songs you would expect that to work on, but, oh yeah, I'm beating you on the former, aren't I? (You did not appear to play the latter last time I looked at it).

Why wouldn't I expect it to work on those? Every Teardrop has a crazy hard RB3 disco-style drum pattern, along with rapid guitar, Coldplay is very focused on vocals, and it has virtually no(or just no) keys sustains.

Clocks also has a never-ending drum pattern, never-ending keys, non-held vocals, constant bass(which was simple in RB3, but just constant here), and regular guitar.

And yes, you're beating me on Every Teardrop, and I played it with the same setup you did. What's your point? Road Rage is not the be-all-end-all of powerups, otherwise we wouldn't see someone place nearly 100k above Pope on Always, and you can bet most of Always has Road Rage, you included.

Let me repeat myself. Road Rage is good. Road Rage is easy. Road Rage isn't the best if you work the others right. Road Rage is not unfair because of that last point.

GNFfhqwhgads, I know that you like to communicate to other people and try to straighten facts out and give them new perspectives, and that's fine and great, but I'd think it'd be good to see a straight up post what your thoughts are on the coin system is right now as it stands. You've clearly got a critically focused mind and I tend to find myself agreeing with you, so.

If Coins stayed even or went higher when I played a song, what's the point of doing Goals? Cred is pointless very quickly, isn't tracked in a leaderboard like RB3 Fans, and can't go down. Goals help with maintaining Coins.

I don't like 'em!! And I normally love coins (New SMB2 I'm looking at you!)
Seriously though, can we do away with the coins in a future update? It's pointless to play against someone who used 3 power-ups and If we don't have coins we have to grind? Annoying.

Or an easy fix would be for Harmonix to issue us all 1 billion... No wait! (pinky points at lip corner) 1 million coins!!! Muhahahaha
