Fine, you're right, there's a problem, but Harmonix shouldn't fix anything. The hitboxes should stay extra large so people who aren't good at the game can be good at it, and those of us that are good at it will just have to learn to circumvent the issue.

Because that's the way video games are now.

I look forward to seeing Jersey Shore: The Movie! in theaters nationwide. Meanwhile, the new Metal Gear Solid movie will probably only be in select theaters, if not just a straight-to-digital release.

regenerative health depends on the game, Portal and portal 2 were pretty good at it. but yes. most games implemented it so bad that the only way they can make it difficult is by throwing unlimited spawning enemies at you.

ok, you have Guitar Hero 3 by any chance? that game has the cheat precision mode. it removes the hitboxes.
try playing Raining Blood with it.

You know, they COULD just fix the problem by changing the code that calculates if the note was "hit" or "missed". If you switch off of a note before the majority of its hitbox has passed, it should just ignore that note. Similarly, if you hit a note at the center of its hitbox, that hitbox should disappear, so that when you switch off of it, it won't count against you because you've already hit it.

That's an unfair analogy, because that game is difficult to begin with. I don't know very many people who ever got the Inhuman achievement. I did.

This game is easy to begin with. Then they throw these enormous hitboxes at me, and I have to try harder to dodge the hitboxes than I have to to actually hit the notes!

I agree with this. And, yes, I know you're being sarcastic, but I think that's a fine way to handle it. This way, the casuals can still go on without a ton of frustration, and those of us who actually focus on scores can simply overcome, and even take advantage of, the timing window (which really isn't that difficult to figure out after you've played extensively).

isn't it strange that just like with the coins, you start saying how something needs to be completely removed, while it would work good for everyone with a few tweaks?

    1) Exiting a hitbox without hitting the correct button should normally count as a missed note.
    2) However, exiting a hitbox by switching lanes should not count as a missed note.

I believe that currently, the game is counting an exit of a hitbox by switching lanes as a missed note which will break a blitz streak and/or jackpot. Arguably, this is a bug.

Thank you, but I do agree with Charity, if the note has been hit, the hit box should then just be deleted

And I agree with you both. Hitbox aside, if you switch from a lane BEFORE YOU GET TO THE NOTE, it should not count as a miss.

    But it does.
