    1. The idea that the coin system should never feel 'winnable' is a very negative outlook to the game. If the player is constantly reaching a hurdle that is impossible to overcome that just leaves an overall negative impression on the player. Even RPG's which contain grinding eventually have a point where the goal is 'reached' and the player no longer needs to continue with their task, and the player gets some satisfaction for the time they put into it. It's Skinner Box stuff, but it doesn't work if the system is a consistent hurdle in the players way that cannot possibly be removed, beaten, or overcome through skill.

    2. Yeah, ok, you think coins are worthless now so you've no interest in goals... that tells me you were only doing the goals in the first place because the game fed you coins for doing them. How is that a good positive thing? If you don't find the fun in the goals without being rewarded for doing them then you're not enjoying doing the goals for what they are. This is like leading players with dangling carrots, it's the difference between doing something because an achievement gives you a creative idea on how to play the game or doing it because the achievement will eventually give you gamerscore. One of these things is positive, the other is hiding a games flaws from the player.

So I guess the coin system isn't going to be changed again, and we'll be stuck with 1,000,000 coins....

    Disappointing.

eh, who knows. maybe someday we will get things to spend these coins on.

who can tell if they aren't also going to integrate this in their upcoming games?

You DO have something to do with all of those coins - you can play Blitz with 3 power-ups every single time, forever. Which is exactly what people were asking for.

Total Song Library = 1,010 songs, including ALL games and track packs that can be exported into RB3

I still the coin system used for mandatory powerups to achieve scores in this game stupid. If you are going to force me to eat up all my coins because I made a stupid miss early on which costs you BIG on scores in this game, I should have to play THE entire 6-10 minute song or give up 600 coins?

At the very least..patch a damn practice mode where you can use all your powerups but your scores won't be recorded, and the powerups should be free to use.

I keep forgetting that there even is a coin system.

I certainly didn't ask for that. I enjoyed doing the challenges on FB, now I haven't touched them since the update. There's no point. Now I have coins for a full load out every single time, yes. You know what that means? The coin system makes ZERO sense now.

Thats actually a brilliant idea! But probably can't be patched, or even a DLC, who knows. But the fact is when people wanna restart they feel entitled to get their coins back. And thats why HMX changed it

I have no idea how people can acquire that many coins. Do you guys never use restarts? Ever?

I am bankrupted literally 1-2 days after each weekly release of goals. For someone who plays competitively for top scores, I will restart if I miss a single jackpot throughout the entire song because sometimes it is crucial to hit every jackpot for the 1st place score, and on fast pace songs it is EXTREMELY easy to miss while chasing flame notes under jackpot.

I would definitely be an advocate for a practice mode in which powerups are free and scores aren't recorded. That would greatly encourage me to try different techniques and experiment with the game mechanics. And I also wouldn't be bankrupted all the time

I have about 300k coins. Yeah, I tend not to restart unless I miss like 5 blast notes in a row or something.

I have 144 plays on Charlene for pricesly this reason(and did a couple of score wars on that song.)

Having to pay 600 to restart on a song when you blow a 70-100k Jackpot(in the first two minutes of the song) is dumb and there is no way I am going to finish that run most of the time, however I'm finding that I have to play the entire song every time. Also as someone who likes to get the 1st GS on many near impossible RBN songs, I need those restarts. The coin system defeats the purpose of getting high competitive scores. I shouldn't have to play either the entire song again or play the shortest song in my library (Charlene but i'll probably buy They're red hot now) with nothing but sync just to rank up 500 coins TWICE just so I get a single free restart.

Maybe have it so restarts don't cost your coins. Or make coins for something else like cosmetic rewards or something that isn't mandatory for gameplay.

    Restarts Cost 600 coins
GSing a song gives me 50 coins
5*ing a song like Child in Time or a RBN on a failed gs attempt nets me -50

The only way I can get coins is grind Charlene or sightread a song for double points(which I don't have many songs left that I like to play) or do FB goals which I just hate doing and find it tedious.
