I'm exactly the same way.

Mostly 5's and 4's, I thoroughly enjoyed the Blitz soundtrack. I think We Are Young was the only song I gave a 3.

I don't have strong feelings about most of the Blitz setlist.

I only assign the one-lighter rating to songs that I absolutely loathe. If I can at least grit my teeth and stand to listen to it once in a while, I'll usually give it two.

is there any reason you actually bought this game? it seems to me like you hate everything about it...

I bought it so that I could experience it and accurately critique it.

Kind of like how all atheists should read the Bible, to know how to argue against it.

I've kind of abandoned the ratings in RB3...I still give a rating to everything but I have so many songs at this point that I've kind of taken to simply giving 5 lighters to anything I feel like I'd really like to play again so that it will be near the top of the list when I sort by Rating. I never play Random setlists because too often I get frustrated at what it picks, so that aspect is kind of lost on me.

My biggest problem with the rating system is that it can't be broken down by individual parts. It's hard for me sometimes to decide what to give something because I play all of the instruments regularly (except Vocals now) but I tend to play Pro Drums the most, even though I've been playing a lot of standard Guitar again lately. So my ratings need to be skewed toward those two parts, but often I'll find a song is much better on one or the other, or I'll like a song but the drumming is just super annoying, and so I just kind of blank on what I should give it.

It would be so fantastic if you could assign ratings specific to an instrument (the game would simply see if you're playing solo and automatically assume your rating in that case.) Especially for Keys songs where some of them are super boring and sparse and it would be great to be able to say, I love this song on drums but don't put it anywhere near me when I'm playing keys, etc.

The irony is that this game (which averts this issue by having you play all instruments at once) doesn't have a rating system at all. It would be amazingly useful in this game, since ratings could just be purely "how fun is this song to play" rather than having to come up with some sort of average based on how good it is on this or that instrument. Hopefully they'll patch this in eventually.

But anyway...to actually answer the question...all I can remember are the ones I gave 5 lighters to. Those were Cult of Personality, Jessie's Girl, One Week, Shine, Spoonman, and We Are Young. Maybe the Wicker Man, but I might have given that 4 because the bass pedal in the chorus is just a little too much for me on drums.
