Must have changed it, because I get a new War every time I accept one then go to any tab and back to the Recommended page. I may have been playing them after I accept. But never went back to the title screen.
Just checked. Start a War, Compete Later, change tab, go back, new War available.

There is no "e" in ridiculous, and "a lot" is TWO words.
