If with "early 2000s" you mean 1997, 1999 and 2012, then yes.

Probably all 3 for me this week. None are probably going to get a 5 lighter rating, but decent songs none the less.

I don't plan on buying "Why Can't We Be Friends", but seeing as it's possible to get covers gives me hope that we may one day see Quiet Riot's version of "*** on Feel the Noize".

I always figured it would have to be licensed through the original artists as well as the current one, thus making it more difficult.
Still waiting for an 80's Hair Band pack of NUMEROUS artists.

The 2 Smash Mouth songs go on my "Want" list. Will get when I have PSN cash.

Still, I love Smash Mouth and these are great picks!
The War masters are more likely to have issues, otherwise I think we would have gotten them when we got War DLC (though you never know, licensing is hard). We still could get the original later.

"I'm a Believer" was written by Neil Diamond, so the Monkeys might not be involved in re-licencing it at all.

When I was wishing for covers for old songs, I was hoping it would be more like the old "as made famous by" stuff, where the songs sounded like the Orig... Another no week for me, I think. I will have to listen to the full songs a couple of times before I make my final decision.

I was also looking forward to the John Parr songs from RBN, but I just don't care for the one just released. I also am not sure I will be excited about the other songs if they are coming from the same album of re-records... Will just have to wait and see...

Never mind... found some samples and Naughty Naughty sounds great: https://play.google.com/store/music/...c5akz5k4mwr3vm

Pushing 50 and still rockin' like a teen, only now I can afford it and it takes longer to recover.

Come on... why not the original?

I'd have rather gotten the War version of "Why Can't We Be Friends?" I'll still definitely pick up both Smash Mouth songs, though. I would have loved to have seen an RB3 version of "All Star" as well.

Still on the fence about the Offspring song.
So long, farewell, Auf Wiedersehen, good night.

Yep, happened with that Johnny Cash song. I really like Ring of Fire, and I greatly enjoyed Social Distortion's version of the song.

Offspring literally are one of the worst bands on the planet. Every single one of their songs is a rip-off of another more popular song.
Listening to Days Go By, the intro is pretty good and then his terrible singing comes in and lmao, oh God how terrible.
Love Smash Mouth, though. Never thought we'd get Why Can't We Be Friends.
