Maybe he meant a wireless microphone. I would think those work through a dongle. The Lips microphone right? Wait, was LIPS even released for Wii?

Also, you made a point. The keyboard does work through a dongle. I'd like to know if that's 100% compatible as well. And just like the MPA, I'll have doubts about its compatibility until someone takes it for a test run and can verify. Same for the Mustang Pro guitar.

Seriously Harmonix, give us some feedback already! D:

You didnt read again, the usb thing would be for a digital only wiiu port of the original game. which is possible with Hmx current release stratagies. the only problem is making the DLC work from SD and other things.

Could someone clarify this for me?

I have all the instruments for RB3 (including keyboards and both types of pro guitars) so I'll fire it all up tonight and post here on exactly and precisely what works with the Wii U.

When you do the SD card transfer, your saved games are intact. It still has our profiles and achievements. It just blew away the physical copy of the DLC we had on our SD Card. It still shows in the store that we've purchased it. We have to re-download everything. And in the downloading, it's only recognizing a maximum of 512 MB of physical space (the hard limit on the old Wii without an SD card). Also, all the Green Day stuff is gone completely and can't be re-redeemed.

We've added a physical external HD now to the Wii U but we haven't yet tried the song downloads. We'll try that tonight as well.

Is Nintendo planning on releasing Wii games in their online store?

I'd be more interested in GC games. Wii games can still be had on disc.

I did the system transfer to my new Wii-U. I have the option to re-download the individual songs I bought. However, it wants me to pay again for the Rock Band 2 package I previously bought. It looks like where there were 3 or 4 Rock Band 4 save files before there is only one now. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

I have not tried actually playing yet. I just wanted to download the songs. I do not see a "download all" option, so I guess I will have to download them individually.
