How deeply do you form attachments with your Rockband online "friends"?

I certainly don't have any experience with fonts, since you could have said what is "Pentatonic" and I would have given you the blank stare of "I have no effin clue."

On topic - The regular posters I interact with on here I really enjoy and miss it when work/home life keeps me online. I've met some very cool people through these forums and this game platform (though none of them have I actually eventually met in person). Heck, sometimes I feel guilty when I get an invite to a RB game from friends on Xbox Live that I've met through here and have to turn it down because I'm playing something else.

It implies that you think that a) it's possible to objectively rank fonts, and b) out of ALL existing fonts, that one is the worst possible choice.

I'm guessing in reality you're just being hyperbolic? Even so, I really don't see what's so bad about Pentatonic that it offends you to such a high degree (though I would make some changes if I were the designer).

I not generally a fan of ALL CAPS, but that's a separate issue entirely, and it doesn't bother me at all in RB.

...Okay, I changed the page name. It's only mediocre-bordering-on-bad, but it's unavoidable - Harmonix seems to have adopted it as Rock Band's official font.

RB1 got it right with Avant Garde, which was distinctive. The slant letters added to Pentatonic only make it look like a store-brand knock-off. Store-brand knock-offs: I hate those too. My dad got fooled by some store-brand Chips Ahoy knock-off, and I found it nasty.

The Bobblehead singer may be soul-crushingly awful, but at least Blitz provides a respite from him.


Back on topic: I tend to feel guilty when beating friends in Blitz. Maybe I need more competitive players as friends.
