You should make a restriction on how long a song a person requests can be. I say 30 minutes is a good cutoff, since you probably don't want to sit for much longer than that to tier a song :P

This. Not the exact amount, but the need for a time filter. I really didn't like sitting through hour-long songs several times to figure out what the tiers would be. No offense to metalhead, they're great songs, but it's kinda boring sitting through the same songs several times to figure out if it's all devils or all lower difficulties.

Yeah, I agree. I really started to despise him after he requested a crapload of songs over an hour, when he had no consideration about the person tiering and their free time.

I hate to admit this as it will make me sound unprofessional, but I only go through a song about 1 or 2 times. D: (Barely seems to affect accuracy IMO though.) I tend to take a more "Blitz" approach where instead of trying to follow certain sounds all the way through, I pay attention more to what is the most active instrument(s) and make the actual tier pic while I am listening.
