GandWuser's Tiering Thread - Come waste my time here!
http://www.last.fm/user/CosmicBushell
http://t.co/TLrPO2hu: Songs I requested to be tiered in the Ultimate Setlist forum, now in a Spotify playlist!
Wishlist:
Moar Grateful Dead:
Led Zeppelin (I can dream, can't I?):
Pink Floyd:
Moar Who:
Moar Ratt:
Even though I requested it, I agree with you. It's awful, but I will always maintain that when combined with the music video it's pretty entertaining.
I don't know what I'd consider the best song in the thread to be, but I think the most fun would the theme to The Greatest American Hero. All the instruments play a pretty large part in the song, and the guitar solo and the ending immediately following sound so good and have such a great energy going it seems like it would be really fun to re-create with a group of friends, especially if you had someone on guitar and three people doing harmonies.
I was actually going to take a break from Fear of Music while you were gone and request two other songs. There's still an entire B side (5 songs) left off Fear of Music so it seems like a lot to tier, especially while you're on break.
The first of the other two songs is a bit of an odd request. It's a training music video Wendy's made to teach employees how to make their hot drinks. This may seem like a bit of a trolling request but it's actually pretty good, considering what it is. To help with some of the information, the song was apparently done by a guy named Marvin Hawkins. For the album, I'd just list it as Unreleased (although Wendy's could have made a mint if they made it a single, or at least used it as a commercial or something). The year is kind of tricky. There's a series of these things, and I've seen 1989 copyrights at the end of some of them and 1992 at the end of others. I'd go with 1989 though because the whole thing screams '80's and I don't want to believe that the song was as dated as 1992 when it came out. Unfortunately, for the album art, you're on your own. Just use a Wendy's logo, I guess? Either way, here's Hot Drinks.
The other one is Dean Martin - Ain't That a Kick in the Head. It doesn't fit as well into the game as Sway would, but there are weirder things out there.
Oh hey, two songs? Ok then.
Locked Out of Heaven- Bruno Mars
50 Ways to Say Goodbye- Train
I'd honestly really enjoy seeing these in Rock Band. I do think we need some more modern pop hits that aren't as bad as "Tonight Tonight".
