    Unpopular Musical Opinions

A quick search yielded no results, but if this has been done before, feel free to let me know and then let this sink.

Anyway, what are some opinions you have that are out of line with the consensus (either here or in the musical community in general - please don't post about liking non-Bieber music as an unpopular opinion)?

For example, I prefer Peter Gabriel's and Phil Collins's solo material to Genesis. My favorite Radiohead album is Amnesiac.

Also, around here I take it my liking Titus Andronicus is an unpopular opinion, but maybe it's just one of those GaGa scenarios where it's just very polarizing.

I never really got into Joy Division and I do not praise Marquee Moon anywhere near as much as you guys do. Also I like SOAD and FF so I guess that counts.

There's no such thing as bad music.

There's no music you hate every aspect of.
BlackwaterPark-So if metal is the original 3 movies, I guess that makes metalcore analogous to episodes 1-3. And numetal is the star wars kid video.

Agreed. Music can be uncreative, uninteresting, boring, poorly written, etc, though I can see how there would be no such thing as "bad" music.

Don't agree so much on this one. I can think of a few songs that need to be stripped down to nothing for me to enjoy listening to them.

Anyway, mine is that the word "overrated" really has very little, if any, meaning when referring to music.

Maybe it's just me. I've never heard music that I hate everything about, so I can't see how many people can hate ever minuscule aspect of a song. It comes down to, for me, do I like enough about this to listen regularly? The answer is usually yes.

Even in ICP and Nickelback do I see merit.
