Freezing issue in RB Blitz (tied to # of songs played?)

i actually confirmed that my RB Blitz freeze everytime after i finish the songs like you guys.

Song Played : 1,021

i was actually rank #6 few hours ago on PSN (canada).

i just submit a ticket.

Well, I was planning on stopping playing new songs to see if I still end up getting the bug, but I realized I hadn't played my Billy Joel songs yet and so I played those and a few others. I'm now up to 1,016 songs played. I haven't gotten the crashing yet. I think I will just replay previously played songs for a while now and see what happens.

Hey gang, just wanted to post a quick update here. There was an email thread that circulated among some of the big brains this weekend and there was some heavy discussion in the office today. I think we all have a better understanding of what is happening and what we can offer as a work around for the people affected.

We started testing the potential fix today and should have more hard data tomorrow. We'll bump this thread once it looks like we're in a good position to take next steps, so just sit tight. We know it's a bummer that you're blocked from playing songs, and we appreciate your patience. We're working as hard as we can to get the few of you affected back up and playing ASAP.

This bug crashes Blitz after every single song, not just after new songs. I haven't been able to play any song (previously played/unplayed/Blitz/RB1/2/DLC/RBN) without crashing since September 17th.

Haha...yeah, I kind of screwed myself there. I've done every available goal so far, and I realized too late that I'm going to be playing with fire if I keep trying to do that. I'm hoping that quite a few of them I'll be able to do within songs I've already played.

I think they know that it affects every song played once the bug hits; I think he was just referring to people like me who are close to the "trigger point" and are aware that the bug could bite us and have been consciously avoiding playing new songs.

Epsilon is correct. Sorry for the confusion. I'll remove "new" from my update to avoid further confusion.

The immediate workaround, which obviously isn't ideal, is to play offline. We haven't seen any reports of the crash occurring offline, and while it won't allow for Power-ups or coins or any of that juicy stuff, it's one option for those of you jonesing to play, practice staying in Blitz mode, or memorizing charts for optimal Power-up deployment paths.

I don't mean ANY offense but offline mode..... well it's just no fun at all. There is no point to it honestly. We are playing to get the best score we can. We need to power ups to be able to experiment on which ones to use on certain songs. I was one of the first to post I had an issue, so yes I've been without Blitz for a while now and yes I'm jonesing to play. I played 2 songs offline in the beginning to test my theory and your right no crash. Most of the songs offline is impossible to 5 star, whats the fun in that??

Totally understood that it's not the ideal way to play. Just wanted to offer the possibility to make sure that everyone was informed as to all the available options.
