Yeah, got it a couple of days ago. Gold stars dinged on the ending bonuses. It's around 1.19m, not 1.91m.

Okay I found out today that Bottle Rocket rockets don't go through checkpoint barriers, so something tells me By Your Command might be nearly impossible to GS, if at all.

Jackpot Blast Notes and Super Drums is the only way to GS One Vision. Use full jackpot during the drum solo and quickly level up the guitar to +3 and get the remaining overdrive and use it for the last chorus.

Jackpot is pretty much a no-brainer for songs that are either really long in general or have long or frequent solos, particularly later in the song. In the former case, the multipliers tend to get really high and the number of potential activations can yield huge points, and in the latter case, as long as you can avoid missing the notes themselves, the solo aspect takes the switching element out of the equation (which can lead to some frustrating combo breaks because of how the back end of the timing window is enforced.)

A lot of people seem to use Jackpot all of the time, but I really think that something like Road Rage or Bottle Rockets may be better for shorter songs, especially ones that tend to be really busy across all instruments. It seems like the benefits of Jackpot don't really become stark until the multipliers get to the x15 mark or so, and on shorter songs they either don't even get there or get there too late for it to make a big difference.

But on longer songs, Jackpot is absolutely the way to go, no question. And possibly even for shorter songs, as long as you're extremely good at avoiding breaking combos while rapidly switching to make sure you pick up maximum overdrive and hit all blast notes, etc. I just think that Jackpot has diminishing returns on shorter songs where Road Rage has diminishing returns the longer a song goes.

Completed Shout and Sing today. It looks like Bang your Head and Cult of Personality are battling it out for hardest song to goldstar for me. Less than 5,000 points off goldstarring each one, so close!

When I activate jackpot for the sustains in bang your head i lose all the multipliers for everything else, and cult of personality is just really hard to stay in blitz during the solos let alone using jackpot so I use road rage and keep almost getting there but not quite

For Bang Your Head don't use jackpot during the solo. Use it for the sustain AFTER.
Cult of Personality just use Road Rage, Super Guitar and Blast Notes.

ok people i have made a blog and i am trying to get the optimal power-up set-ups for every song in rock band blitz, now most of the songs on it are songs i have GS'd and a lot are from vampinc.

he thinks it is a good idea and so do i but i am wondering if anyone can help me collect data.

the only thing i need is a list of songs and the power-ups you used to get a gold star on that song.

as more information comes in for the song i will be updating the information already there if there is a better way of doing this.

i know most songs can be GS'd by using RR/BN/SG or JP/BN/SG but i am adding them in anyway.
if people want to help me add information for more songs i would be very greatful. I think in the end it would be a great thing for people to see when they are having trouble with a cirtain song to be able see what is the best set-up to use and then work from there.

i have needed the optimal power-up a few times just to be able to get up from 4* to 5* but i do not have all of the songs. and i am not the best blitz player so i am trying to get as many people as possible to send me information about the songs that they have GS'd

this is the current layout but i am updating it to look a lot nicer.

you can send me an email with a list of songs or sending me a message on facebook. all sending information is on the website.

Optimal is entirely dependent on playing style. There's no such thing.

Optimal would probably involve pinball on every song and never missing it from start to finish.
