Yes, I am a so called young'n that owns that song. I have been buying tons of stuff I am not entirely fond of to say the least because I like the game. But the DLC choices of the past 6 months or so have no variety, and it has even resulted in my boyfriend no longer wanting to play the game. All I ask is for once a month to appeal to either the keys crowd or the classic rock crowd. But HMX has not come anywhere close to doing so, especially at appealing to the latter.

It's weird though. GH was loaded with good guitar from 80's bands. Eighties guitar solos are awesome. Maybe we're losing guitar players too. Maybe it's all drums and keys, cuz these vocals aren't appealing either.

I just don't understand how an entire era of amazing music can get ignored like this for soooooo long.
Yeah, I forgot about Jungle Boogie.
Either way, that proves my point even more. We had TWO 70s songs from Blitz. We've had 70s material.

But reading the rest of your post, it's clear that you're not looking for 70s material, you're looking for 70s material that YOU like, which is COMPLETELY different. And it's been like a month.

I remember Down, and hearing it again brings back good memories. The other 311 songs don't grab me. Still, just having one worthy song this week makes this week a win.

The keys lately have been crap.

At least we've finally been getting more 90s.

You think 2 70's songs in 5 months should satisfy us

This would all be fixed by releasing Come Sail Away by Styx

No, because satisfying our fanbase is literally impossible. No matter what happens, people complain. Hell, people complained about the sale for not rewarding older customers!

While this is true, they seem to have shifted their strategy from "Satisfy 70% of our fanbase 70% of the time and 30% of our fanbase 30% of the time" to "Satisfy 70% of our fanbase 97% of the time and satisfy 30% of our fanbase 3% of the time".

And 3% is *overstating* the 70s content lately. It's been 3 tracks of the past 136. It was 30% of the RB3 disc. 40% of the first year of RB3 DLC. 15% of DLC before that (several points higher if you count 90s+ live editions and rerecords as the year of original publication). But under 3% recently (read: the past 8 months).
