    Thanks for the tips. I will definitely try that on COP, but as I tend to get overwelmed on the second guitar solo. My fingers just can't move that fast without missing a few notes.

    And the Jackpot power-up on Shout is useless to me with the random skipping I experience on any of the songs so I'm going to have to somehow get it with another combination of power-ups. Maybe the flame/bomb/super guitar.

    Neither can mine. But I've gold-starred it twice, nonetheless.

    I don't want to discourage you, but I don't want you to waste your time, either. I think you'd be better off trying jackpot and super guitar, with the understanding that you shouldn't even bother to leave the yellow lane once the guitar solo starts. Skips are much less likely to hurt you when you're just playing long sustains in one lane...although you will need to activate jackpot a couple of other times beforehand.

    Thanks again. I'll give it a try tonight and with a little hope who knows!

    I think I must have come pretty close with the fireworks/bomb/super guitar combo.
    I didn't miss a single note or slow down and got 455,126, but still no GS, so I don't think it's possible with that and like you were saying I probably shouldn't waste my time with it.

    I've been trying so hard with this and COP that I forgot I have a 3rd song which I haven't been able to GS, So Far Away. I got 297,882 on that, but no GS.

    Do you recommend the Jackpot/Flame/Super Guitar on that song as well?

    And a great deal of note-dense songs can be GSed with Pinball. Not for songs as sparse as Shout, though.

    Man, I have no luck with the pinball. What exactly do concentrate on?
    Is it better to just blow off hitting the notes and concentrate only on hitting the pinball?
    I've tried that, but I miss out on all of the mulitplyers and everything runs slow.

    I'm pretty sure I would have GS'd the last 3 songs if it wasn't for the song skipping/glitch that makes me lose points.

    Sometimes I only get a single skip and other times I get 5-6 skips which totally ruins any chances I have.

    I concentrate on the edge lanes (Drums, and Keys if they're present, Vocals if they aren't) when I don't have the pinball active, because the pinball more often exits the center lanes, so I hit those notes while the pinball is running and I'm waiting on it. I don't completely blow off hitting the notes, but I sure do blow off *chasing* notes or sustaining blitz when the pinball is running. I try to figure out the likely pinball exit lane as early as possible and just sit there hitting the notes in that lane and waiting for the pinball (and if it takes an unusually steep or weak ricochet and is headed for an unexpected lane exit, I react then).

    I don't get any skipping, though, unless my PS3 has been on for an inordinately long time (when things get stuttery it's usually after my wife played Dragon Age) - and resetting the PS3 tends to remedy that for at least as long as my Blitz sessions need to be.

    Sounds like it may be a cache problem. Can you easily wipe the cache out on a PS3 without anything detrimental happening? I think some patches on the 360 actually reside in the cache and will need to be redownloaded if you clean the cache on that, but don't know how the PS3 handles things.

    There is no cache on this one. At least not in the traditional way of it going into the PS3 Data folder.

    I thought it may be the imported music, but the fact that it does it on all of the imported music makes it sound useless to delete all of that and re-download roughly 25GB of music again.

    I don't think the PS3 version has received an update patch. Has the 360 version been patched?

    EDIT..
    Woohoo I finally Gold Starred SHOUT
    using the Jackpot/bomb/Super Guitar combo.

    Now I just need the last two; Cult of Personality & So Far Away.
    I've only gotten as high as this:
    COP = 370,719
    SFA = 297,997

    Got GOLD STARS (approximately 135,308) on "The Stroke" by Billy Squier using only Point Doubler, Blast Notes, and Super Guitar.

    Super Vocals would've been a better option... don't know what I thinking.
