    Bands with lead singer bassists

I've been wondering about them for a while. Here's a list of the ones off the top of my head.
    • Motorhead (Lemmy)
    • The Police (Sting)
    • Rush (Geddy Lee)
    • Primus/Flying Frog Brigade/Sausage/Oysterhead/a billion bands that are essentially the same (Les Claypool)
    • Beatles/Wings (Paul McCartney) (yeah, I consider both him and John as lead singers)
    Hi. My name is Jed.

    Al Cisneros (Sleep)
John Doe (X) - well, he split singing duties
Phil Lesh (Phil Lesh and Friends) - also, of course, did a bit of singing in the Grateful Dead
    Phil Lynott (Thin Lizzy)
Mike Watt (fIREHOSE) - again, he split duties

And so too Paul Simonon with The Clash, if that counts.

Sorry, I should have clarified that I was referring to Phil Lesh as being the lead singer of Phil Lesh and Friends. They usually play Grateful Dead songs, though (whether or not Phil was originally the lead singer).

Yes I know what you meant. Paul Simonon sang a few Clash songs, too. Probably "The Guns of Brixton" is the best-known.

Tom Araya from Slayer as well.

I know of a few more that I can't come up with names on the spot right now.

Peter Steele from Type O Negative, just remembered. And that dude from Blink-182, Mark Hoppus, yeah...
