Now...which lead singer bassist is the BEST?!?!

I think it's Les Claypool. He's not a fantastic singer, but the fact that he can sing and talk super fast while playing crazy-complex slap parts is batsh*t INSANE. Geddy Lee for me is runner up, since even though he's amazing at singing and playing bass, he's exponentially better at bass when he isn't singing.

For which lead singer/bassist is best, I'd go with Jack Bruce of Cream - those lines led and played rhythm simultaneously, plus he's got a great white boy blues voice and some serious songwriting chops.

Kinda-sorta Roger Manganelli with Less Than Jake. He's about 60/40 lead vocals with Chris Demakes (the guitarist), and he also switches between guitar and bass (when a second guitar is required in a performance, one of their horn players jumps on bass, which I think is pretty damn cool).

My favourite clean vocalist and favourite harsh vocalist are both bassists. They are of course Hansi Kursch and Erik Danielsson, though out of the bassists in bands I like, they rank lowly as bassists. Also, Hansi doesn't play Bass anymore, and Erik only does it in the studio if I'm not mistaken. But my favourite non-metal bassist/vocalist has to be Geddy Lee.

Oooh, totally forgot about Ron Broder from Coroner. That guy's a beastly player and I have no idea how he's able to sing and play such intricate basslines at the same time.
