I won't get a chance to play I Ran until this weekend, but I just watched the first minute or two of the charts on YouTube (don't want to spoil the entire song yet) and my god, I can't wait.

Stroke. I loved the song back in the day and saw Billy in concert when this was at its peak in popularity. It was not fun to play on pro keys. Oh well, I downloaded the upgrade as well so maybe the guitar part will be more fun. FC'd it on sight read.

Everybody Wants You. This wasn't as bad as Stroke. Another song I like as a listener and I'm not unhappy that it's in my library even if it isn't exactly the most fun to play. Got nearly 5 stars on sight read but I'm sure I can FC it after a few plays.

Now for the one everyone was waiting for, I Ran by Lox and Bagels....er I mean Flock of Seagulls.

I couldn't resist writing like a worm on a hook and singing along in a sarcastic manner as I played through this one. As I guessed it is mostly one note a whole step above another note and so on. I was wrong about it being G to F, it's actually A to G but I don't have perfect pitch to sue me.

I got an FC on it for my sight read even while warbling and pretending to have a slow motion convulsion throughout. In spite of the surprisingly present major chords with an octave above the roots (when I saw them I bellowed for the amusement of my daughter who was watching me, "Oh no an A major chord! However will I cope?") Sorry about being so mean, but this song always bugged me. To be honest I don't think I have ever enjoyed I Ran more than I did during that play. I'm sure I will be playing it again (as I tend to play with randoms online) and I'm not really bothered by it as much as I rip on the song. At least I do get to play from beginning to end (as pointed out by jibjqrkl earlier).

On the whole I give Stroke a D-
    Everbody Wants you a C-
and I Ran a C (for being so goofable and still FCable at the same time).
I haven't played them yet but after looking at the charting it looks like The Stroke will be most fun to sing out of all of them... which surprises me cuz it's a pretty repetitive song. I expected I Ran to be easy on vocals so that charting didn't surprise me. Doesn't always matter though. There are some easy vocal tunes that I love singing... like Gone Away and This I love.

As I thought, all three songs look like snoozefests on drums, so I'll be passing on them all. Hoping we get some fun deep cuts from Billy and A Flock in the future, thought! (not holding my breath, though it's fun to think about)

Well, I'd call the two Squier tunes more "fun" than "challenging" but I rather expected that. I'm happy with them.

"I Ran" .... always been ambivalent about the song (i.e. not bad enough to turn the radio dial) but I haven't gone through all the instruments on it yet.

I find with the "sing a line then play a rift - repeat" structure of The Stroke - it's a great song to Voxtar to.
4 singles - 2 I'll get (Queensryche and one Staind).
