How in the hell do you GS Cult of Personality?!?

I like this song, but it's driving me effin crazy. I've tried almost 50 times now and have only managed around 344k. What load out have people used to get a GS? That score came today with the power up of shock, pinball and guitar. Second highest was band, flame, guitar.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Don't use shockwave for any song at all period. Unless you are doing the shockwave goal, shockwave is by far the worst overdrive powerup.

Jackpot,Flame Notes,Super Guitar is the best combo for Cult of Personality. I got 560k by timing jackpot right and hitting a bunch of flame notes. Jackpot,Blast Notes, Super Guitar is also pretty good. Even Road Rage/Flame/Super Guitar works a lot better than the combo you were using before.

shockwave is awful, simple as that

most people use either jackpot/blast/guitar or road rage/blast/guitar

if you're really confident about your skills you can go with jackpot/flame/guitar

if you're gonna go with road rage, don't use it unless your bar is completely full. (and try to avoid using it in solos).
also, getting 100% in the solos is worth more than overhitting notes and losing Blitz, so just ram those controls like crazy

Jackpot is one that I haven't used mainly because I have a hard time keeping the streak. Guess I'll have to really get the timing down and try again.

You can surely still get Gold Stars using Point Doubler. You should definitely be using either that or Jackpot on this song. I'd recommend Blast Notes to help out keeping all of the multipliers up, especially early on.

Road Rage/Blast Notes/Super Guitar, or 'Old Reliable' as I like to call it (Ryan came up with it). Activate Road Rage at the densest parts with as full a bar as you can, and don't waste any in the solos.

also dont use road rage just before a checkpoint if your multipliers are already full, use it straight after.

as soon as your multipliers get full (pretty quickly with road rage) just concentrate on the guitar and switch to other lanes when you see OD on them

Good advice all the time, not just on this song.

Or purple notes. I was getting upwards of 2,000 points a blast note on some of the denser parts of the song.

Thanks for the suggestions because Jackpot and me just don't get along. I've gotten decent scores with 'Old Reliable' and have tried Double with Blast and Flame but still have a hard time with it. This is the last song I need for the 3 song blitz hard goal and I'm kind of tired of playing it.

what control set you using? if you're using freakish you can use both triggers and bumpers to hit notes, making spamming the solo's a lot easier
