Dam*n impossible songs like Antibodies and Phish have stopped all goal progress.

So mt regular playtime has all but ceased.

I spose I could try some of the DLC ps3 goals but what can I do after that ?

Post an ad on craigslist for someone to get 1 Million points on a song ?

RB3 is a platform that seemed a logical choice to be expanded upon for long term playing/ 'career' interest (new goals able to be added). Wonder why they didn't. Would have really extended the life of the game.

Every Friday night for over 2 yrs now (I missed 1 wk for a funeral). I usually put in 7-10 hrs a week still. The drums are my exercise.

I still play, and have holiday parties that have a RB3 corner that is never totally vacant. I wish there would be a downloadable version so I can make use of my PS3 with the broken optical drive.
    PSN name = sinobeetle

This thread makes me really happy to see - I originally suggested a controller-only RB as a gateway to the main platform.

PS3 and the XMB crashes that will probably never get fixed...

Makes sense that Blitz was not on Wii, then. Wii will never be fixed.

They want you to master all the instruments. They just want to create their army of Dave Grohl type multi-instrumentalists, one I was drafted into. See the "HMX is dangerous" thread over in General (I miss when it was called General).
We've ended on a sour note:

    Still...thank you for the music

My wife and I bought a HOUSE, partly for storage of our RB instruments. No joke. When you've got an ION with double pedals, a kick trigger, 3 cymbals, a hi-hat and a HH+Kickbox, plus 4+ working or partially working plastic axes, both the Mustang and Squier Pro guitars, 2 mic stands, 4 mics, and the keyboard, we needed more space. And as can be imagined, yeah, we still play. On average over the last few years of at least once a week.

None of us play online much at all, but every once in a great while I'll jump on for a few songs. As has been noted in many other threads, I don't have any online friends so I'm stuck with randoms, and that can be a nightmare. Hence the not playing online very often. Usually, I'm just practicing by myself if it's not a group play session.
It's spelled "Squier." Stop spelling it like someone who is in training to be a knight.

I don't understand why that's a BAD thing, other than your well-documented aversion to its locking goals if you don't do it. I'd love to be able to master guitar, keys, vocals, and drums IRL like he has.

It's Harmonix's super soldier program, they're obviously going to send them to do the dirtiest work. I don't want to be the one who has to stop the second coming of Guitar Hero only to get my arm torn off by Lars Umlaut.

Maybe I should cross-post this there.

Funny you should remind me: Not having a place of my own is a major hindrance to my drumming.

That's pretty funny. I understand, if you care a lot about the characters on-screen (personally, I make a goofy-looking one and call it good), why you're frustrated about the clothes, instruments, etc., being locked behind certain goals.

I have to have the wife's approval--or she has to not be there--but having a house big enough to store the drums, etc., behind the couch in the media room is awesome. Sorry to hear that your living situation doesn't allow for much drumming. That's my favorite instrument. Closely followed by vox.
