Probably because the Wii isn't the best choice for RB, and RB2 is prob full on dead on that console lol.

I've played a ton of Rock Band on PS3 and not once have I experienced an XMB crash.

Yes, lots of people play - its a regular party tool in my area. Do many people play online? No idea, that has never interested me.

As for which version, at this point, I've ported everything into RB3 and don't play the older models any more. (xbox360).

HMX thinks it's DLC related, people with more DLC tend to have the crash more, or people that plays online alot, or both. (I'm talking about 500+ DLC)

I still play quite a bit in RB3 on PS3.

Used to have Rock Band parties every Friday night, but they died off about a year ago. Didn't die because of Rock Band, though. It died because we all sort of stopped being friends.

Also, I experience the XMB crash an insanely high number of times on PS3. I rarely go a session without one. This is across both a fat PS3 and a slim. I have 1250 songs (not sure if that is a factor).

It's kinda funny, I never did until I read about the problem here on the forum -- that was the first time I knew the problem even existed.

Even now, it doesn't happen to me much.

No, they never said it was DLC related. It's data related. The more DLC you have, the more likely you'll be sending something off to the servers while you play, which is maybe what causes the XMB crash.

Hmm... The few crashes I had were during goals. So that's on-disk songs.
(but yes it happens more after DLC).

How many other sony games reboot to XMB ? I'm going to say nearly zero.
The Sony development tools are rock solid, and my guess is HMX isn't using them to their full potential.

In this day of "get games in and out the door asap", you'd think every single game would have a bug or glitch or coredump.

Maybe it's Sony's crazy QA step that insulates us.
