I am writing this as I wait for recovery from an XMB crash.

I was playing solo. One song at a time, check the leaderboard before (as I often do), constant switching between both sort modes (in response to another bug, in that it won't remember "Sort By Leaderboard Rank" between songs). Often visiting the options menu, as I turn breakneck speed off for Expert difficulty, but on for Hard.

My BIGGEST difficulty with it isn't that it happens, but that it takes so darned LONG to get back into the game. Why? It has to re-scan every DLC track, EVERY time. I own every PS3 release, including about 80% of RBN (skipping only those without keyboards since RBN 2). It's 1337 items it has to read each time.... and it takes about 3 minutes.

3 minutes? Feh, that's not long, you say. Tell that to online players waiting for you to rejoin the band.

I honestly don't think they care all that much I don't think that they feel PS3 has much impact on their bottom line, in fact we may actually be considered more of a liability. You could make book for sure that these RCS issues would not have been tolerated this long on the XBox and it would have been fixed.
My session is over 1:51 AM and got an XMB and can't reconnect.

It's not that i think they don't care, i'm sure they would fix the remaining issues if they could but they are a business and are entitled to spend the least amount of money as possible to reap the profits though in all fairness they should fix the rbc problems because playing online is a key aspect of the game.

Us PS3 users were probably lucky to get the last patch that restored the 2 songs missing from the RB1 export but i still feel that the broken servers should be a priority even on the system that yields them less money.

Also i have 1025 songs and all instruments except pro guitar(which i sold) so it's not like i haven't spent a reasonable amount of money anyway but i will no longer be purchasing DLC until they either fix the issue or at least address the issue.

Bringing even less money and dlc sales being broke. You'd think since they continue to release stuff on it, it'd be fixed. :P

Tried to play with friend today, but we kept getting disconnected. We never really even got to finish a full setlist, and it wasn't long. GRRRRRR....so frustrating.

I'm not a gamer...I don't play many online games outside of RB, so I don't know if this is a normal problem with other games, but It seems that hmx would want to at least keep their dlc buying customers happy by fixing this server issue. It's so taking the fun out of the game. I want to be able to play RB with my online friends. This sucks! and has sucked for well over a year...and is getting worse.
    ....dropped my sticks

Rb, 1,2,3 . Lego , AcDc, GD, Metal Pak, Classic Pak, RB Pak Vol 2 Country 1 and 2. TB RB, and a lot of DLC.

Yes it sucks and that's the reason i'm no longer purchasing dlc until the problems are addressed and fixed. I suggest anyone else on PS3 who is fed up to do the same and maybe something will get done.

Have you noticed any response of any kind from them on the RCS issue? Not a single one, no communication on it whatsoever. I think that there might be some people there that care but there is no one there that cares that can make a fix happen.
This server issues COULD be fixed, but it appears that getting $ to provide support for the PS3 side of things is not an option any longer, we have what we have.
Sure they are entitled to run that business however they want, but they should at least ask themselves how would they feel if they were customers of some company that was treating THEM like this.

    Like this...
Problems with DLC showing up for sale?
Well Hells Bells all hands will be on it ASAP, and they will even tell them so.
They don't even have enough respect for the PS3 community to come in and toss their hands in the air and say that they have simply decided to lump this together with the XMB issue, thank you and have a good day.
As for those of us that are buying the content, if we buy it we buy it if we don't we don't, as I said before our contribution to the bottom line is negligible and the treatment we are receiving is unlikely to change.

I've played many games online both console and PC and have never saw any game that has had the same persistent issues like this.
The XBox is the golden child here as long as everything is working fine there and DLC sales do not drop off there the bean counters at HMX are thrilled. The only thing that is left as Nutzzo31 is saying is to stop purchasing DLC, which I'm fine with, but I don't think it would even be noticed, do your part and convince those that you play online with to do the same.

Seems that is the only avenue we have left because we certainly haven't gotten any attention here.
I'm done with DLC for the time being until there is a response to the
RCS issues, with an explanation of what was wrong and what was done to fix it and and actual working fix in place, stable for at least 3 months.
Gonna take more than you, rb Girl and myself you need to compel your friends to follow suit, hopefully intropee will join us as well as all of the others that have posted in this thread.

I tried to play Blitz this evening and got disconnected from the RCS servers 3 times before ever even starting a song. I hope this issue starts hitting hard there too on the surface that might sound like a crappy thing to say but if it gets the situation looked into (and they are 100% related) and brings some relief to the RB3 side then it is a win win.
