PS3 RB3 Rock Central Server issues.

Sorry, I don't have time to read the previous posts but XMBs happen more frequently to me at the very beginning of songs (after the drum countdown) and when I sort the song library by Leaderboard Rank.

Yea I cannot get on today. Have restarted the game and my ps3 many times and no joy so far.

I tried to sign on this afternoon at 1 PM could not connect to RCS multiple restarts, reset router signed in and out of PSN then just left it on the main screen after sitting idle for over an hour it finally connected.

Now I am unable to connect again it has been trying since 7:45 "Unable to connect to Rock Central Servers" it is getting progressively worse.

* 8:57 connected finally sometime between 8:45 and 8:57 PM EST

Same here. I was connected earlier after many tries but now it's just gotten worse.

Are your ps3 game clocks set correctly for daylight savings. I have no idea why it should matter, but there's a suggestion in the Wii RCS connection issues thread that mentions it. Could be worth a shot just for ****s and giggles if your clock isn't correctly set to give that a try...

Well my clock is set correctly now that the time has changed. This has been going on for 2 years now, there was a period from April/May of this year until the date that Blitz was released that I didn't see a single issue of problems connecting to the RCS. Since that date every single time I have fired up the game there have been issues with the RCS connection for me or my partner , usually both of us before it is all said and done by the time you throw in the 4-6 XMB's that we get during the session.

The suggestion in that thread can't hurt but it is nothing more than a desperation attempt at solving a problem on the users end that can't be solved there because the problem clearly lies elsewhere.

Well last night was even worse than last week, without a doubt this is getting progressively worse.
After an XMB at 11:40 my partner couldn't reconnect to RCS until 11:55.
On cue the "unpredicatable" XMB came within the hour hitting me at 12:34 then it zapped my partner on the songlist within a minute. Both of us were unable to connect until 1:55 AM we played solo songs inbetween multiple reboots, restarts of the game etc. At 2:49 AM within the hour again as if on cue the XMB returns and boots me. I came back in and was unable to connect to the RCS I was ready to quit anyway, but I wanted to come back in just to confirm what I already knew, that I would be unable to reconnect.

Today 11/10 I connected at 2:00 in the afternoon just to see what would happen and was able to connect.
At 5:00 PM I loaded RB3 up again and was unable to connect I restarted 2 times and gave up at 5:20 and went and played a few songs in Blitz. 5:50 I quit Blitz went back into RB3 and still can not connect it is 6:13 now and I remain unconnected.
7:05 PM Still have not connected. going to restart before I go eat.
9:00 PM Still unable to connect to RCS.
Partner just came online. I'd bet anything right now that he is not going to be able to connect.
As I expected he couldn't but one restart got him connected, for myself 9:41PM 3 restarts shut PS3 down on 2 of them, and still not connected.
9:57 and finally connected XMB for me or my partner guaranteed before 11PM.
lol so pathetic, partner got booted to XMB starting up a song playing solo and lost his connection, 3 restarts of the game with 1 shutdown of PS3 and still can not connect to the unreliable/broken RCS servers that the PS3 platform is provided.

10:24 PM Partner finally connected XMB by 11:24 guaranteed.
I swear to god 11:24 on the button.
and of course can not connect to RCS.

12:28 PM Partner said he has had enough, so we called it quits. gj HMX

Last night we did all finally connect but bass xmb'd and couldnt get back on so we had to call it a night. It took me five or six attempts tonight to get on the servers but drums is having no luck so we are a bit screwed. This is not acceptable Harmonix!

After trying off and on for the past hour and a half (6:30-8pm CST)...and not being able to connect to the RCS, I gave up and shut it down. Guess ill watch some more college football now.

I see alot of people saying that since a couple of days they have a hard time connecting.... on my side, the usual one restart still does the trick. Am I fortunate? lol

Yes, you are. I only connected to the servers after about eight attempts over a two-hour period.
