If Harmonix is going to ignore us, then there is no need for us to be here, on their forums. I say let's move the discussion to a more public forum, Facebook, and they can ignore us there. At least there we won't be complaining to just ourselves, and we can reach a *much* wider audience. It's better than nothing.

Harmonix does not want bad publicity. That's why they removed the old thread that had 100's of pages. I'm just saying let's take it out of their hands. It's one thing to complain to Harmonix about it's product, it's quite another to complain to the entire world about Harmonix's product.

I am absolutely fed up with the horrendous rock central servers. Honestly, this needs to be fixed, its not my internet, because every one of my friends spends like an hour trying to connect to these things you call "servers". i would, along with everyone else, love it if you actually took the time out of your day to fix them.

    Angry freaking ridiculous...

    What the heck...
    I turn on my PS3 @ 8pm, amazingly I connect tonight!!!
    WooHoo...
Then after 8 songs.. I stupidly change my comment to:
    Need drums? msg me
I then play the ninth song and halfway through...

    XMB mode kicks in!!!

I'm not going to tell you fully, what I put on my comment.
After trying to once again connect to RBC... but 3 stooges was in it.

    What the heck HMX???
We have to live with XMB mode...
But, you tell me after over a year of horrible servers..
you can't afford to finally make them stable, so we can use them?
This is once again ridiculous... S.O.S
    back to no updates...

Like hey guys, our top notch Dev are working hard... Bah, bah, bah...
    But once again... nothing.

Just like all thread that were removed... updates dried up for months.
Now, this thread is being treated the same.

Fix the freaking servers already!!!! Jeez!

Now I'll go back to restarting my PS3 umpteen times...
    Restart RB3 umpteen times...

    freaking ridiculous...

A Facebook group isn't going to automatically reach all 3 million or so people who like the Rock Band page, and it definitely won't be more visible to Harmonix than the forum that they run and frequently check.

The old thread wasn't hidden because of "bad publicity"; if that was the case they would have quickly deleted this thread. It was hidden because it was hundreds of pages long, making it useless to anyone (especially new people) looking for information, and this thread isn't looking much better.

Developer comments won't help in the long run if they get buried in the middle of hundreds of posts of overly detailed reports that don't say anything we don't already know, and different issues that only add to the confusion. That's exactly what happened with the old thread: nobody's going to look through over 1,000 posts just for a few Harmonix posts that might be outdated.

My previous thread was updated on the 1st post, for the 3 times Henry replied...

Also this was stated in this post:

A few general guidelines for this thread, to keep it on topic and avoid more bans:

    - if you have any XMB boot issues, either online or offline, feel free to discuss them here, no matter how frequent/infrequent the issues are.
    - If you have any server connection issues on the PS3, feel free to discuss them here
    - If you don't play on the PS3, you don't really have anything to add to this thread. So please don't.
    - Be excellent to each other.
Please, no offense, but you are not helping the thread.

That is why a STICKY thread needs to made and locked like the others at the top.
One that acknowledges that there is an issue or one that says we see no problem in our logs. Is there even a server status page for the RCS anywhere?

    Take this for example.

Didn't see anything like that in this thread did you?

We still do not know if LiveOps sees anything in the logs concerning this, unless I am simply being thick and I am supposed to infer that from a posting made in a thread about Blitz connection issues that it is an answer that applies here as well.

Dude we get it, you don't have any problems, you never get an XMB and you connect to the RCS every time you try unless the servers are down, and that's good, for you at least.
For a vast number of people though and I feel highly confident that it si the MAJORITY of PS3 users despite what is being said, everyone in this thread the bandmates of the people that play FB that do not post here (probably because they think it is futile) and friends of people in those bands having the very same problems. Over the past 3 days when I have had time AND have been able to connect to the RCS and grab a random player and ask them "Have you been having problems connecting TODAY?" the replies have been yes 4 out of 8 times, the remainder didn't even reply, and 3 of the 4 replies came as a message. The one person that had a headset/mic said they had been having problems for weeks.
The question wasn't leading, it was a simple yes or no question.
This sampling really indicates it is affecting a lot of users.
I will continue to try and ask a few randoms this weekend when I am back in town, unless it is fixed which I REALLY hope it is, I'd much rather play with friends than solo until I can connect.
