Well I was connected, and had been since 12:00 I used the option to play locally and then immediately play online and it reconnected. I then chose play locally and dropped out then quit the game. I restarted the game and am unable to connect. So this connection was not terminated abnormally, I am just going to leave it on the main screen for 30-45 minutes and see what happens.

ROFL...and now after being XMB'd, I again can't connect to RC!
Well I would expect this is peak times for EU players.... which makes the capacity suspicions even more reasonable.

What is XMB mode? Is that when you're able to connect to RCS and only experience XMB crashes and no server connection issues? I haven't had that in a while.
Re: the poor devs... My apologies if the devs are having a hard time time reading this thread. I have a hard time playing their stupid game because of their stupid incompetence. So cry me a river. If the devs checked this thread every day, like they should, they wouldn't be overwhelmed by it. It's not like this thread is moving so fast that one can't keep up with it. I can and do (and it's not even my job to do so).
The game has been freezing up in the Music Store lately. It been very slow to connect to RCS, if it ever manages to, and yes, XMB boots are still more common than not. Far from Harmonix fixing the problem, they seem to be making it worse. Maybe that's the dark before the dawn, but I doubt it.

There are a number of reasons why I mentioned the complications of having two issues addressed in the same thread.
1) These issues are not directly related. Discussing them both in the same thread creates the impression that they are, and that doesn't help anyone.
2) Discussing 2 unrelated issues, regardless of the type of issue, is confusing to new users. If someone registers and posts without thoroughly researching an issue (which happens more often than not), they could be suffering from the XMB crash but mistakenly think they are experiencing server issues. This will make it harder for them to get the help they actually need.
3) It is much harder to quantify 2 issues when they are discussed in the same thread. If there was only one request thread for Muse and Led Zeppelin, that would make it much harder for us to provide the actual numbers of users requesting one or the other, which would make it harder for us to prioritize.
4) While I read this thread every day, not everyone at Harmonix does. If I'm forwarding this thread to the Live Ops team, it will make things much more efficient if they don't have to try to parse out which users are actually affected.
5) I am trying to help. If you're not willing to help yourself by keeping these reports separate and you elect to maintain the petty approach of "it's hard for me so I'm going to make it hard for them", that's only going make it more difficult for you and the other users in this thread in the end. You don't have to like the situation, but please try to exhibit a bit more civility and maturity when I'm the one actively championing continued investigation into this issue.
I've collected a good deal of information from Live Ops this week (play logs, activity stats, connection rates, specifics of safety nets in place, etc) and hope to have everything pulled together for a post next week before the holiday.
Thank you for the time you are investing in tracking down and fixing the RBC server connecting issue. It's most frustrating. Quick question, do you think it's a capacity issue? More servers needed? That type of thing? Too early to tell?
I'm not trying to be snarky, just asking for clarification...are you saying that you HAVE TO actively champion continued investigation into our issue? Sorry, but I read your comment as the other devs or support or whoever owns the issue are having to be prodded into researching the cause, continually.
Again, thank you! It's much appreciated!
I've noticed server connection being a lot more spotty for me since I've passed 1,000 songs (which is only recently that I've passed that).
