PS3 RB3 Rock Central Server issues.

but just XMBD (i know not supposed to bring this up but it's my first one since the fix, so im wondering if they had it fixed there for a bit because i hadn't xmb'd in about 4 or 5 days which is usually a daily thing)

And i jinx'd myself
because right after the xmb i cannot connect...

I can't figure out what makes you think there was a 'fix' put in.
HMXHenry did not update us before the holiday, if there had been a 'fix' he would have came back.
Additionally they are not going to do anything on a week of a Holiday, LiveOps would have been working at a reduced capacity.

Lots of people are just getting home tonight from holiday trips, some were getting home last night where I had slight connection issues, the connection issues grew worse today as there was more stress put on the network. you didn't jinx yourself you just ran with the assumption that something had been done for this.
I don't know how much clearer it has to get for some people to understand that this is and has been since the day blitz launched a capacity issue, it grew much worse when the DLC sale launched and it isn't going to get better until they either increase the resources for the PS3 RCS or enough people give up in disgust.
I actually enjoyed the play Friday night and Saturday (RCS issues only ate about 13 minutes or so), I am dreading what is in store for the upcoming weekend.

I had no problem because of the holiday week from Wed to Friday, but Saturday..

The person I was replying to is the oblivious one, if his post regaling HMX about this 'fix' that hasn't happened didn't make the fact that he was oblivious his reply to me sure did.

Yes an update on the status of this would be nice, I didn't have quite as many problems connecting Saturday as you, but it was made more than abundantly clear that we have an absolute bare bones minimum amount of server resources available. It is also becoming abundantly clear that this is not being assigned a very high priority, it is almost as if they are playing a waiting game to see how many people will simply give up.

HMXHenry, I understand that you may be championing this cause but if the people you are presenting the case to couldn't care less then it is almost futile. I'm trying to be patient and remain optimistic but we have not really been given a lot to hold out for hope on. We are going on 3 months of dealing with this issue and the only time it has gotten better (based on reprts in here as I was out of town as well) was the week of a holiday where the traffic on the servers was without a doubt substantially less.
Can you please give us any sort of a status update?

Boggles the mind doesn't it. In all fairness it isn't completely unusable although at time it is barely tolerable, and there is no telling how many PS3 sales have been lost in RB3 and DLC from people saying "hell no" because of what they have heard and people (a few even posted ITT) that just give up because the issues with the PS3 are allowed to go on and on.

No it isn't completely unusble, but it pretty much has been if you play on Friday and Saturday from 9:00PM to 2:00 AM EST. Additionally the RCS issues have most definately been happening more than they haven't the only REAL reprieve we have had from them was earlier this year where we had 3-4 months of few if any issues with them. This was more than likely because they added some server capacity in preparation for rolling out Blitz, then when Blitz came out BOOM nothing but problems with the RCS.
Nuttzo you play in a different time frame than most and posts that say "connected twice this morning" don't help a lot the time is crucial.

I was rushing yesterday and used spell checker... I didn't read the corrected word...
LMAO!!!!

Last night was back to the same new old crap.. played with rkbdgurl and we kept getting dropped from RBC. 3-4 times!
No XMB crash, just dropped and we then re-connect right away. we played between 7:45pm -9:15pm

At 9:40pm played with some other friends and one by one.. XMB mode crash, then can't connect to servers.
I quit playing at 10:40pm
