PS3 RB3 Rock Central Server issues.

Connected without problems on both Friday and Saturday.
I did have 3 occasions that when the main screen came up it did not connect immediately but did connect before half of my songs had loaded.
We also had one instance where we got disconnected from the RCS or each other during a song without either of us being XMB'd. This used to happen from time to time but it has been at least 6 months since I can recall that happening.

RB Blitz shares the same saved data file as RB3...for blitz users that have played over 1400 songs in blitz there games become unplayable, for the 7 people it affected they so called fixed it where at another 1000 songs played they will lose there in game saved data (stars, progress etc.) BUT at least they can play there Blitz games again! The only reason they fixed it is because it actually affected 1 XBOX user ha otherwise we on the PS3 are minimal to the masses of XBOX RB3 players.

Since Blitz is tied into our RB3 game its data has increased and caused issues for several in Blitz as well as RB3...depending on what your issue is I can tell you that it comes down to a HMX/RB3 making a game not compatible with PS3...saved data file. It’s the PS3 that shuts your game down (XMB) it happens when too much is going on, saved data, picking songs, hitting PS button, sending msgs while in library or set... on and on! or can happen if the wind blows the wrong way lol. I’ve experienced anywhere from 2-10 XMB's in one evening, that combined with the CC Cant Connect's is enough to make you wana break game disc in half like a friend I know did ha!

Servers that are crap combined with a lot of data= FAIL! We are playing a game where massive data is being transferred. So the only solution is getting an XBOX! Pay for the security of knowing you can get connected, now with a great server comes 0 XMB's, minimal CC's/boots (2-9 times to get connected RCS) for weeks but yet Blitz you could connect with minimal boots from RCS, there’s nothing like gold starring a song and getting booted from RCS which means you don’t get credit for it in Blitz its happens I’d say 10 times to me since its release, so not to bad haha nothing like the RB3 major issues... I host a lot of bands through all this, there are so many factors involved in playing with minimal issues... I have a list of what has worked n what the NONO's are that increase chances of XMB lol.

I suggest this to HMX/RCS/SONY/PS3/PSN... offer a 2nd server available to PS PLUS SUBSCRIBERS or however… that allows us to PAY for a better sever from PSN lag station users. Why not? I’d rather PAY for server like they do on XBOX (lag, XMB free)...then reinvest a lot of money for new DLC'S along with everything it take have what I do on PS3. Nobody wants to re buy DLC’s etc. on XBOX.

I have compiled a list of issues, timelines re: updates and changes... bottom line is...Its either a conspiracy to get us to have to RE DLC songs when in fact it’s not the DLC's ha it’s the saved data file on your user profile name that becomes unplayable for RB3 once you have acquired too much saved in game data (btw generally you have to have over a 1000 dlcs to experience this) or if you have transferred data from a fatty to new slim, don’t do it (get PS Plus n transfer RB3 saved data file via upload. RB3 IS A VIRUS TO OUR PS3!

Ive experienced...RB3 saved data loss, CC's, boots, lag, freeze, massives XMB's, corrupt data, you name it ive been thru it, if not i know someone who has. The time, energy it takes to play what should be enjoyable game, can be frustrating, stress constant strees!

Bottom line is no matter what we do, we are still at the mercy of PSN/RCS! I CANT EVEN PLAY RB3 IN RB3 ON PS3!!

RBC for Blitz has been down for over 24hrs as of now… THE ROCK CENTRAL SERVICE IS NOT AVAILABLE. PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER. Lololl I mean get real… umm how much later?

For the 2 years i've owned RB3...i've spent 1 year RELOADING IT!

If you are experiencing RCS not available, please try again later..msgs when u load blitz, unlink your Facebook application for RB World and you will be connected instantly. I troubleshooted several possibliities after finding out RCS Blitz worked for some people and others down for days like myself. Just do it lol and connect n Blitz, link it back up and back out to main start game menu...u will not be able to connect, ya go figure something this simple lol I deleted reinstalled game, reset modem/router, reset default settings on PS3. When all it was is the FB App link. Hope this works for you, and Happy Blitzing!

I probably need to ask a mod to tweak the title again, this is about RB3.
I'm not sure if what you are saying is true or not, I have no way to verify it but at the request of the Devs we are trying to not get this muddled with XMB and other issues.

So please don't debate it in here, though if you choose to start a thread about that you'll have plenty of people willing to discuss it.

I would recommend posting in this post. Or create a post stating RB Blitz and RBC servers on the PS3.

Wait, this could be something. Just yesterday we had an issue where Xbox 360 users were unable to connect to Blitz because there was a bug in an RB World goal. These connectivity issues weren't being reflected in our server reports because the blockage wasn't with the servers, but with RB World.

Are any of the regular posters in this thread linked to RB World? Try unlinking and see if that improves connectivity at all. I'll follow up with Web / Live Ops to see if it's possible that this could be similar to the issue we saw yesterday.

There are no guarantees that it's the same issue but it would explain 1) why users in this thread reported an increase in problems around Blitz launch 2) why we wouldn't see these problems reflected in our server logs and 3) why Live Ops wouldn't have seen an issue that was more Web based. At the very least, it's worth trying to see if it points us in the right direction.
