PS3 RB3 Rock Central Server issues.

Yeah....It's more annoying than ever. Various connection issues. The biggest headache though has been the xmb boot that keeps occurring. It's way more problematic than it was a couple of months ago.

While the XMB is annoying once you have came to terms and accepted it as 'just gonna happen' it isn't as bad as the RCS... when you can't connect to the RCS > 50% of the time after it happens that is if you can get connected to begin with before you say 'screw it' and find something else.
The XMB is bad enough, the RCS is the biggest headache to me though I had not had one issue with RCS since at least before mid May, possibly a bit earlier. On the other hand since I purchased this broken product not one damn time have I ever had a session where I did not get an XMB, except for several times where I just couldn't connect to the RCS servers.

Nothing to report... Hurricane Sandy screwed up my power...
Only got to play 5 songs.

Rock band 3 will reload your dlc after you back out of the store but blitz will reload your dlc as soon as you purchase one song and there is no visual indicator to say that it is doing it, so if you have a large library you are waiting for minutes.

Not even a response that acknowledges the fact that since Blitz came out the RCS server issues are absolutely crippling, I'm not even sure if I have saw an acknowledgement that the RCS issues are happening again, the ongoing never resolved XMB issue yes, but not the (new/current/reemerged) RCS problem. The subject of this forum though and the description sums up the fact that we are on our own here, some issues will get responses but I don't think we will see anything from HMX they have more than likely been instructed not to respond to or give this any 'official' merit.

It's unfortunate but the fact is that there are far less PS3 players playing rock band and purchasing dlc than xbox 360 and the HMX bean counters are likely not going want to pony up the money for another patch which is expensive.

They also probably do most of their testing and development on xbox 360 so issues such as these are not found or deemed not important enough to fix. If the rock band central issues can be fixed server side then it is more likely to happen but anything else that requires patching will not be done which is why rock band blitz needs to be connected to the internet for powerups etc.

PSn problems last night.. on top of RBC and XMB problems.
SOS... PSN problem did make it very exciting though..

A lot of RBC problems tonight, only 1 XMB, but 2 XMBs this morning.
RBC just doesn't work on PSN, and i can say that Harmonix doesn't seem to even care.... should throw you PS3 Server out the door and try a new one...

Agreed it's time for harmonix to address the rbc issues.They just can't keep ignoring the PS3 because it is the red headed stepchild of the family.

9:00 PM EST through 9:15 can't connect to RCS.
Restarted game 4 times restarted PS3 2 times.
Still not one GD response from HMX on this, of course as long as the XBox crowd is having no issues then all is well at HMX HQ obviously.

9:24 PM EST finally connected, I for one would be ashamed if I were part of any product that is as shoddy as this.
10:16 PM XMB'd and of course can npot reconnect to RCS.
10:40 PM Still can not reconnect. Rebooted PS3 2 times, restarted game 3 times, played 2 songs locally hoping for a connection.

Pathetic. Of course the "recommended" feature works.

Just saw Intropee go offline and come back online so he obviously just got booted and can't connect to the POS RCS too.

Probably would have 100 replies in here if this were affecting Xbox users.

10:54 still can not connect. Xbox must have been very close to capacity tonight so some resources from the PS3 side were probably shifted over there, or else Blitz has a lot of users connected and resources were allocated to them, the first was just being snarky (though I wouldn't be surprised) the second is probably the most likely scenario, after all this BS just started getting bad again when blitz was released.

11:08 still can not connect. can connect to RCS in blitz right now though, they care more about that product for now though on the PS3 because it probably has higher potential for DLC sales than RB3 at this point, give it time though, Blitz still has issues it freezes the PS3, it loses connection occasionally etc. When what is believed to be the max that is milked out of those customers it will be tossed into the forgotten bin with RB3 for PS3 as well.

11:12 Finally reconnected, guess a few people signed out.
12:24 XMB'd but since the RCS are less congested now reconnection was immediate.
1:11 AM XMB
1:43 XMB and can't connect to RCS
1:51 Done for the night, not enough patience to deal with anymore of this foolishness right now.

Agreed, i am seriously considering no longer purchasing DLC for rock band. Why should i keep spending my money when harmonix don't want to spend their money fixing up a key component to their game.

I can understand the xmb boot issue not being fixed because it's difficult to reproduce but the problems with the RBC servers and the main store are things they should be able to fix but don't want to.I think most of us know at this point that a RB4 is highly unlikely so i see no point in continuing to pay for DLC when us PS3 users are an afterthought.
