Question How can I drum freestyle to music from my iPod?

    Hi all,

I have the Turtle Beach X12s. I'd like to hear both the Xbox and my iPod in the headphones, so I can play music from the iPod and drum along to it.

I've tried using 1/8" Y-splitters to combine the 2 sources into the headphones -- the Xbox works great through the splitter, but as soon as I plug in the iPod, the Xbox audio drops so low it's barely audible. Unplug the iPod, the Xbox is instantly full volume again.

I've also tried the Belkin multi-splitter, which says it keeps the audio both ways, but I get the same problem with the Xbox sound dropping out.

How can I get my iPod audio inline with the Xbox?

    Thanks for any ideas!
    B

You can hook your ipod up to your xbox through usb and play the songs through the xbox menu.

Red face USB didn't work -- but the SyncStream app does!

Thanks for the reply, crash13. It was recognized via USB, but with "No songs found."

However, the iOS app SyncStream works perfectly! (And wirelessly. And it's free!)

The Xbox now sees all my songs, even playlists.

Or if you have itunes on your computer just sync the xbox to your computer and all your songs will be available within your xbox guide to play freestyle.

I do this all the time, LOVE IT

It depends what iPod you have. I had a 4th gen nano, and it worked fine, but when I got an iPod touch, it didn't work, nor has my iPhone. I think it only works for iPods that properly sync (Ones that won't let you do anything else while it's hooked up)
