Not just band hero, and as Magnet pointed out not just with vocals, and sometimes different lengths(see livin on a prayer).

There are dozens of cases where hmx got one version and gh got another. Some are intentional and some are accidental. Hell there was a case where hmx was sent an unreleased version of a song instead of the single version completely on accident(was it panic at the disco?). It happens.

And it doesn't always work, but in some cases you can move/cover the mic where those od spots are.

And as for the who gives a flying **** comment, I know people obviously do care about censorship(I certainly do but I understand it is what it is; no amount of *****ing is gonna change it), but it was directed towards who cares whose fault it is. What's done is done, intentional or accidental, label's fault or hmx's. This version is what we got, remember that.

And next time you want to go around acting like a know it all, maybe you should check your facts before telling others to do so.

One of THOSE Nights by The Cab. The album version has Patrick Stump singing the chorus. The version we got is an unreleased version with no Patrick Stump and a completely different chorus.
Iirc the band posted somewhere about how it was an accident and the label was supposed to send the album version but mistakenly sent an alt cut that was never supposed to be released.

So if something like THAT can happen, why is it unreasonable to think that a label can send 2 version of a song to 2 companies several years apart? Things like this happen.

My time on the boards has told me that people certainly care, perhaps not about whose fault it is, but certainly whose fault it isn't. That whole Curl Of The Burl thing is a chief example, and lots of little scenarios (I Write Sins' censorship, Raining Blood) for good measure.

well glad to see you can reply and hurricane sandy didnt get you too bad here in buffalo lots of wind and rain nothing like the coastal areas tho any i was just hoping for somthing better then sublime nothing wrong with season theme songs and i agree we need genisis twisted sister preferr micheal mcdonald over doobies but hey even doobies better then sublime

Also don't forget the Alternative version of "Days Go By". The Rock Band version is completely different from the radio, and CD version.

Wow those verses sound way different. I love the radio version, but there's something I like about the rb version too. Just sounds kind of mellow and haunting maybe.

Wait, Raining Blood? It had no censored words and was the same cut without the intro that was in GH3 with the complaint being more about the chart rather than the song version from what I have gathered. Care to explain in greater detail?

Yeah yeah, it was only the charting which was the point of contention. I was likening that situation to the fact that people like to go "Harmonix' hands are/were tied. It is/was not their fault this happened.", which they indeed did when Raining Blood appeared the way it did.

Hi guys - I dusted off the old mic, and played "What I Got" a couple of time the past few days.

I tried the following replacement words for the second "mother":

1) ****ing
2) freaking
3) robot
4) Romney

All replacements worked flawlessly and didn't break streak. YMMV.

But is it an FC ?
