how much instrument skill is needed?

Any skill. Sometimes we need highly skilled players, sometimes we need people who can barely clack two sticks together. As our beginning players inevitably march on and become better over time, we usually have a shortage of the non-stick-clackey kind of people. But all are good for us.

...do you have local parking?

We don't have our own lot, but we're actually quite near a few metered lots, as well as being within ten feet of the subway. If you know where the lots are, parking in central square isn't too tough.

Another question is, would bringing a guest be an option if known before hand?

We can usually make space for guests if you mention them in the first e-mail exchange. If we don't hear about them until the day of the test, there is a very good chance they're going to be exploring the other fine entertainment options available in central square.

...the only information that you collect that gives an indication of where a person lives is the phone number, but that's not always accurate...

Don't worry about long distance cell phone numbers disqualifying you from testing. We get a lot of MIT students in here, and their cell numbers come from everywhere.

central square, right outside the t-station. easy walk from 77 or if you're lazy then jump on the #1 and it'll drop you off right in front of the building, i think.

question to the HMX people, is the QA position still open? i was wondering what 'knowledge of the video game industry' entails.
