Any daring Wii U pre-order people out there?

One of the main things stopping me from just jumping out and pre-ordering a Wii U is not knowing what will happen with the hundreds of songs I've gotten and if I can even play online. I wasn't very hopeful about a transfer since most of the reports I saw only listed Virtual Console and WiiWare stuff. A recent article on IGN (http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/11/...save-transfers) notes that "add-on content for your Wii games" will transfer. Does anyone have a Wii U in waiting that is going to attempt this? If so please let me know. I'd hate it if it all transfers, but the online component is useless.

Two not so small things to think over= Pre-order was sold out after 3 days, which was 6 weeks ago. AND I hope you realize that you are not forced to throw away your Wii after you fire up your new WiiU for the first time. I'm pretty sure that Wii players will still be playing online with their DLC for many moons after the WiiU launches and that new DLC will be available to buy for both Wiis' for some time also. Hopefully HMX will confirm this for us?

Presupposes that that's the case even now, when we've anecdotal evidence that it's not.

We don't know anything about how DLC, of music games or any other stripe, will be handled by eighth gen consoles. There's nothing for HMX to confirm because they may not even know. They haven't developed anything for the Wii U as far as I know, so there's no reason they'd have any better knowledge of it than we would. Once content reaches the stores, it's between us and Ninty/Sony/M$. HMX doesn't have the first thing to do with it at that point.

Rock Band 3 is not a Wii U title. If DLC proves to be cross-compatible between the two (and that's a huge if from where I sit) then sure. But I doubt very much that HMX's DLC strategy is going to change at all prior to the other two companies' 8th gen consoles coming out.

No, It hasn't interested me yet. I'll probably pick one up when the next Mario or Zelda game comes out on it, like I do with most Nintendo systems.

Srsly. Did you not expect a Mario game to be bundled (even if you didn't know?)?
