Oh, and while I'm here, I just want to call out a few things about this DLC.

Everyone knew that the rest of GD:RB would be coming as DLC (we announced it 6 weeks ago when the first batch of Green Day DLC came out to tie in with the release of their album Uno!) and some folks were... less than thrilled with the release. That's fine, not everyone has to like everything that comes out, especially when the forum faithful are likely the same folks that have had these songs in GD:RB for over 2 years. So, after processing all the feedback, we made a few tweaks to the release plan in the interest of broadening the appeal of this week of DLC.

Kenny Loggins was not originally intended to hit this week (he was scheduled for later in the year), but we asked the DLC Production team to fast track things so people that already owned GD:RB would still have the option of purchasing some new content. Shuffling the schedule isn't always easy, especially on 4-6 weeks notice, and it's even more difficult to pull off when you're already submitting 40+ songs, so hats off to them for the quick juggling act.

The other addition to this release was 2 Pro guitar upgrades for "American Idiot" and "When I Come Around". Those weren't initially intended as part of this release but, again, we wanted to be able to offer something new to people that already had these songs. So if you're a Pro guitarist, send some kudos to the DLC authors and AQuA (audio QA) testers that made time in their schedules to crank these out practically overnight.

2 additional tracks and 2 additional Pro upgrades may not seem like the most work in the world, but keep in mind that we submit to 1st party to release 4 weeks in advance, and they made all these changes right after the last Green Day pack was released 6 weeks ago. Fast math should show that leaves a 2 week window for everything to come together, much less than our usual 6 months.

I hope this shows that we do listen to forum feedback and that we'll always respond to community issues when we're able to. Hopefully folks will be happy to see that they have a few more options available to them this week. Personally, I am over the moon excited for the Log Dawg (that's what Kenny's friends call him). Enjoy!

I never doubted you for a second! No seriously, the gang at Harmonix is consistently awesome. In those rare instances where you have a choice to do something, and choose something that I don't like? That always seems to be because of "forum feedback" too. It's just that you wind up listening to the "wrong" (i.e., not my) side of forum feedback in those rare cases... and I can't be mad about that, just disappointed. But who could possibly still be saying that you don't listen? Nobody but the trolls!

And I'm really glad that adding Pro upgrades was something you were able (and willing) to do. Same with bumping up Loggins on the schedule. I'd already stated that 2012 DLC was already a success, and anything else would just be gravy ... this is some serious gravy. THANKS!!

Seriously, HMX, you guys are the best. As a person who has own GD:RB since release day, and as a person who feverishly checks the Forums multiple times weekly but especially on DLC Friday mornings, I really appreciate this concern. And by making these tracks irresistible, you have guaranteed yourselves another sale to me .

Thanks again; I'll be picking these up. Shame they won't be here for my rock band party tomorrow, but my party next month will definitely enjoy these tracks.

The first pic WAS a gopher and the second of course bacon. Both with the 40+

Congrats to Franke who nailed the singles in this weeks prediction thread:

    Clearly the answer is...

    Gut Feeling by Devo
    I'm Alright by Kenny Loggins
    Footloose by Kenny Loggins
The 40+ was indeed for Green Day and I think everyone got that right.

Will I have to repurchase American Idiot in order to upgrade it?

Also, never heard of Kenny Loggins.

I'm surprised, said no one ever.

Already got GD:RB exported, and unless there's serious clamoring amongst my RB friends, this is a no-go. But judging by the reaction so far, this is another good get. I'm glad those who are stoked get Kenny Loggins. There's a chance I'll grab the Pro upgrades for the two that got them. But probably not "When I Come Around." That song was overplayed so much when it came out, I'm still sick of it, not that it's a bad song.

Thanks again to Harmonix for continuing to release DLC 5 years into the franchise. No matter whether I like it or not, I'm always happy when this streak continues another week.
It's spelled "Squier." Stop spelling it like someone who is in training to be a knight.

21st Century Breakdown remainders are singles-only for Wii. Too big to be a pack?

I wonder if anyone will buy "Song of the Century" as a $2 single.

You shouldn't have to buy American Idiot to purchase the Pro upgrade. DLC team worked some magic, so you should be good. Holler if there are any issues come release day.

Also, jealous for your ears to meet Loggins for the first time. He was an 80's soundtrack staple and one of the smoothest dudes on the planet.

Not too big to be a pack, just some bizarro Wii store sorting issues preventing us from bundling previous DLC with new DLC to make full album DLC. Each console handles their store stuff different and this is just one of those things.

Also, re: Danger Zone, yes, that is also a song Kenny Loggins recorded. It's an awesome jam and we would have loved to include it with these releases but the masters weren't available. We hunted for them for a good long time and prayed nightly to the Yacht Rock gods, but it wasn't meant to be. I know I, for one, will be enjoying the 2 essential Loggins tracks that we did get. Give them a listen if you're not familiar, then watch Footloose and Caddyshack and your life will be better for it.
