I think they would do well on the next gen with RB4 but in order for that to happen they need to go all out.

1.All songs export and have more than the 3000 song limit
2.Take advantage of the next gen power n make the graphics look much better
3.Tons of customisation on all band members,instruments,tattoos and even shirt n band logos
4.Full music studio to make our own songs
5.Add more multiplayer modes
6.They need to advertise their pro modes more. So many ppl dont know about being able to play a real guitar in this game. I have showed a few of my neighbors the pro mode and they are guitar players and they were amazed and very impressed and one of them bought the pro guitar and RB3 for his grandson.
7.I like how GH showed u how much time was left in the song and how close u were to the next star by watching the bars fill up. RB should def add that.
8.Do more with pro mode by expanding the tutorials to teach how to do solos
9.Bring back Metallica somehow. They are constantly talked about and I'm sure GH's rights to them will b over soon if they arent already

you have to pay in order to make your own songs in the game. GH u dont have to. They could do it the same way GH did without vocals. Some ppl made some amazing stuff on there. There's no way all the songs from RB1 and RB2 will export if they haven't done so already. RB3, maybe, but it's unlikely. I do agree with the 3,000 song limit though. The consoles should be able to handle more by then.

You say this as if the graphics in RB3 are bad. I agree that better graphics for next-gen consoles is a given, but the graphics in RB3 were really good IMO. It's the animation that needs work, but that's a topic for several other threads that already exist.

Isn't thins already a feature? I know there's always a want for "more" but I'm happy with how it is. I don't like having to buy a pro guitar in order to use the spiked hockey mask, but otherwise it's good.

As Santa Claustrophobia said, HMX has already said no to this. And also has Santa Claustrophobia said, just use the RBN. Hire an author or chart yourself. You even get paid for doing this. Hell, use computer programs if you must. Others have, namely Askari Nari and myself.

I do with there was more of these as well, but I understand why Harmonix left out competitive modes. I could never find a match on RB2, even when it was popular. And when I did, it happened rarely and the guy was either a n00b and/or didn't have any DLC at all. I hate playing Painkiller every online match!

This I agree with. People think Rocksmith is the first game with such a feature, which is sad. Sure, Rocksmith is a great game, but it's mostly a learning tool. Pro Mode is also about fun.

As Santa Claustrophobia said again, they already have a system that tells you how close you are to X amount of stars. What they really need is a streak window to tell you how many notes you've hit consecutively. I loved that in GH3 and forward.

You do solos much how you do other riffs. I don't know how that'd expand the experience.

This is where I facepalmed when I shouldn't have, because I should have known this was coming. Look, Metallica's a b**** to license. Everyone should know this. Lars wants a ton of freaking money, something a corporate giant like Activision could offer that a now-independent company like Harmonix probably can't. Just because people want it doesn't mean a band will do something, unfortunately. Otherwise the Beatles probably would have got back together a week after they split up.

There's authoring groups that will do it for free. They only ask for a small portion of the earnings.

Correction: Subgenres are only on RBN songs. We don't know if they're programmed into Rock Band DLC and on-disc songs.

Support for multiple genres for a song/band will solve all of this and for that info to be stored on a server somewhere rather then associated with the song so it can be updated at any time. Still baffled as to why the whole Bob Marley pack is not considered Reggae.

I would think that labeling a band as a certain genre is a mistake as not all of their music is generally of a specific genre.
