    Thank you very much HMX! I'll be getting everything but Crossfade – “Cold” unless it comes as a 6 pack and I can the whole pack as cheap as the 5 songs I want.

    "Jessica" Nice. Bought.

    I so badly want "Colors" by Crossfade. You guys don't even know how bad I want it. So I guess I should get "Cold" too, to show my support? I could take that one or leave it.

    Not sure what sort of job you think I have that I could check FB but not the forums. It's not a desk job.

    I always loved that the quintessential British motoring show uses a song in the quintessentially American southern rock genre for its theme. Even better that people don't realize it's a full song.

    OH, and "Closer" ? Has there been censorship *****ing? I'm guessing there has been censorship *****ing. Or maybe that's on hold until release day. Might get that one, too.

    Let's Predict How These Will Sell!

    Here's my prediction on the sales order:

    * Nine Inch Nails – “Closer” O
    * The Allman Brothers Band – “Jessica” O X
    * Modern English – “I Melt With You” O
    * Crossfade – “Cold”
    * The Band – “The Weight (live)” O X
    * Dragonforce – “Cry Thunder” O

    I swapped out the #1 spot a number of times, but finally ended on Nine Inch Nails for two reasons: it is arguably the biggest hit by the artist in question, and it is actually the highest charting song of this list having made it up to #41 on Billboard's Hot 100. Interestingly, these are not necessarily "big hits" by Billboard standards. I went back and forth on Allman Brothers, as I have found it to be folly as a whole to bet against 80s one hit wonders, and it is arguably a bigger "hit". However, Billboard charts, to my understanding, weren't quite as big back then, and I think "Jessica" is the bigger song. I think people on these forums tend to underestimate the sales of modern music, hence I placed "Cold" next. For all of its historical significance, I think "The Weight" is one of those songs that is clamored for by the forums, but not as much as a whole (or, to rephrase, take my explanation for "Cold", and go in the opposite direction for "The Weight"). Finally, whereas I do think modern hits sell more than the forums like to admit, I don't know if anything DragonForce has put out could be considered a "hit", and "Operation Ground and Pound" didn't sell enough to make me expect a surprise.

    This'll definitely make next week's "Top 25" thread interesting...
    I would go this route:

    * The Allman Brothers Band – “Jessica” O X
    * The Band – “The Weight (live)” O X
    * Nine Inch Nails – “Closer” O
    * John Parr - "St. Elmo's Fire" (yes, RBN song outselling regular DLC)
    * Modern English – “I Melt With You” O
    * Crossfade – “Cold”
    * Dragonforce – “Cry Thunder” O

    I think the popularity of "Jessica" stemming from GH will boost it beyond the rest, and "The Weight" will garner more of a following due to the demographics of the prolific DLC buyers. Which I thinks sinks "Closer" to 3rd, though I think this will be close. Next I pick upset 4th place as "St. Elmo's Fire" due to it's popularity and recognizable sound.
    The other 3 could go either way, but I think will trail the others substantially. I'll be getting them all, though.

    Anyway, well written review, but I'd hardly refer to the Allman Brothers as a one hit wonder.
    Billboard has also always been a big deal. Remember Casey Kasem's American Top 40 back in the 60's and on up? Maybe not....you might be too young.

    Woudn't be the first tome something very British was identified by something very American. Remember when the "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" radio show used a song by the Eagles for its theme?
    It's all right. Everything will work out fine.

    Hooray for Jessica!

    One of the songs I have seriously always wanted on this game has finally landed. Can't wait to play it.

    I don't recognize the others as much but I will give a listen to them.

    EDIT: Sorry if this sounds negative but "St. Elmos Fire" is actually the version from the "Letter To America" album, so it has the wrong cover art on technically. But it is still an extremely fun song to play and I'm chuffed that ozone managed to bring it to us!
