I too am having troubles with Closer. I can place it in my download queue, and it says it downloads, but it is not in my song library or in my hard drive's memory.

Mine downloads, even says closer in the download history, but when I load up RB3 and go to choose a song, The weight is in it's place.....
Check this thread i've put up for clarification. Is this the same problem you guys are having?

SillyStou: What will happen to this place when Rock Band ceases to exist?
RockBandRocker: We will all migrate to the Dance Central forums. It will be like Moses leading the Israelites out of Egypt.
Munnchy: Only Flashier, with impeccable dance moves.
RockBandRocker: With more glitter and glam. We will survive
Hmm, I got The Weight too, which isn't too bad for me, I was debating getting it anyway. Now, how to get Closer? Has anyone downloaded The Weight and gotten Closer?
AsianSteev: if you can read this, put more Ska songs on the RBN! Please?
Gamertag: Demitri Theodus
Maybe this was their plan all along and didn't have enough time to switch all the songs out for the weight. Jokes on you Harmonix! I thought that song was OK!

Seeing as I can't get Closer for a while, let's do our impressions thus far. I will update this post as soon as I play through Closer.
Pro Keys:
1. Jessica: Yep, that's a pretty sweet piano solo right there.
2. The Weight: Solid, but very very hard. Chords involving a multitude of keys all over the place. Not quite as bad as some of the Stevie Wonder stuff, but it's in the right ballpark.
3. Cry Thunder: No bullcrap mellotron stuff here, just a lot of very varied patterns. Relatively easy. I might FC this.
4. Closer: A decent number of easy patterns.
5. I Melt With You: Blahhhhh. Not too bad, but all singles notes in a few patterns. Too easy.
Pro Drums:
1. Cry Thunder: Again, no bullcrap 2000 BPM drum beat, just a lot of fun fills intertwined with a reckless ride beat.
2. The Weight: A few decent rolls.
3. Jessica: The Prisoner 3.0. Starts with a simple double-up on the snare, but turns into a Rush-like syncopation in the guitar solo. It's a little over my head.
4. Cold: Nothing to see here, move along.
5. I Melt With You: The beat is similar to Just Like Heaven, but is more annoying to pull off, at least on my setup.
6. Closer: Um, yeah. I wish it was charted like GH, with the constant hi-hat on blue leaving the simultaneous open hit to be charted as such, but alas. Not quite as annoying as Breaking The Habit, but close.
Guitar:
1. Jessica: There's a lull between the first two or three minutes and the solo. Other than that, good stuff. I think the GH2 chart was more thoughtfully realised, though.
2. Cry Thunder: Easiest of the Dragonforce songs. But that doesn't mean anything, because it still has a ridiculous solo. The main riff's very good.
3. The Weight: Enough variation throughout an otherwise unremarkable chart.
4. Cold: The solo in this is almost as sad as the one in If You Leave Me Now.
5. Closer: A bit better than the GH chart, especially the distorted guitar part.
6. I Melt With You: SRFC, easy as hell.
Vocals:
1. Cry Thunder: Your impression of this will depend on your tolerance of cheesy power metal lyrics, 'cos this song pretty much throws all the tropes at you. I cannot get enough of it, myself.
2. The Weight: The choruses are simple, but each verse is just about varied enough.
3. Closer: You only sing for half of it, but it's very slick.
4. Cold: Pretty easy up until the bridge, in which it feels like you're not actually singing the lead part.
5. I Melt With You: The range here is very restrictive.
Random thoughts:
Whoever tiered Pro Keys this week should never tier Pro Keys again. In no conceivable universe can anyone find Cry Thunder in the same area of difficulty as The Weight. Hell, The Weight should probably be devil tiered. It's certainly a million times harder than Jessica.

I have played this a lot this morning. I actually managed to 5 star it! Happy days! It's really fun.
I hope you mean uspetting sad and not totally lame sad. Because I loved the solo in if you leave me now! Cold's solo wasn't too bad. Quite like that song now4. Cold: The solo in this is almost as sad as the one in If You Leave Me Now.![]()

I'm kind of disappointed they put trill lanes in the solo for Cry Thunder, but what can you do. Still a fun song to play.
I also feel that it's kind of undercharted. Specifically right around that crazy tapping part and the little bit after it.
