I think that RHCP song was the only post-RB3 song to get that treatment.

It was the "I'm With the Chili Peppers" pack, yes, but it was more than one song. "Californication" and "Otherside" had the upgrade on release day, while "By the Way" and "The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie," along with "Under the Bridge" from the back catalog, were upgraded about three months later.

Whatever the cause and whatever the effect is, those are the 5 songs which are included as a DLC voucher with a game/Mustang Xbox bundle.

Very nice week! Will be getting everything except "Cold" and "Cry Thunder". Not getting "Cold" because it sounds way too much like Nickelback for my taste, but at least Nickelback had the ha-ha factor to it and the memories from my late teen years in having to listen to it all the time. "Cry Thunder" just doesn't appeal to me at all. Not a fan of the heavy, finger-busting metal songs out there. Never have been, and never will.

After hearing "Melt With You" I have a hankering for Burger King for some reason.

With regards to the sales, I say that "St. Elmo's Fire" will be last. Solely because the ONLY format you can get this on is X-Box. PS3 players will have to wait at LEAST 30 days if not more, and Wii players will never get to purchase the song. Therefore, it won't sell as much as the others.

Wow...now THIS is a great week!

Jessica has been in my top 5 most wanted songs since RB1. Every time I watch Top Gear (UK version...not the crappy US version) I get reminded I cant play it in RB. Now I can watch Top Gear with happiness.

I Melt With You is one of those songs you love and you dont think about being in RB until it actually is...what a great choice.

Closer more NIN is never a bad thing. Great song choice again.

The Weight. I guess HMX didnt lose The Weight after all (did someone already do that pun yet?) Great pick yet again.

The other 2 are no-gos, but 4/6 is pretty damn good, especially considering the quality of the 4.

Wow, this is a great announcement. Gonna be buying all but "The Weight", which I may end up getting later depending on how the live version sounds. The studio version just didn't catch me like I hoped it would. I'll check it out again on Tuesday.

Getting "Closer" and "I Melt With You" in the same week is just blowing my mind, two of my most wanted songs for the game. I know that the f-bombs will be censored of course, but that makes no difference to me. Can't wait to sing both of those.

"Jessica" will be a ton of fun to play on guitar, I remember enjoying that one in GH2. Glad to see it show up in RB.

I feel obligated to buy any and all DragonForce due to TTFAF, but this one sounds like it'll be much less insane, which makes me happy. I feel like that'll make it more enjoyable to play, even though I do like playing TTFAF and OGAP. It'll be interesting actually being able to hit notes on a song by them.

"Cold" was a song I never expected to see show up, let alone in the post-RB3 era. Cool song, I always liked it back when it came out, I'll enjoy playing that too. I would've liked to see some more love for it, but I get why it isn't happening.

As I said, awesome week. Great way to celebrate RB's birthday! I hope this is a sign of some more bigger song amounts coming, I love weeks like this.
