    Umm.. Okay.
I won't argue anymore about who's fault it is but now lets instead figure out who's responsibility it is to point out that transferring DLC to the Wii U causes problems with rock band content. Nintendos? Harmonix? Some anonymous posters on a game forum?

    Yup.

Nintendo's. HMX should likely post a warning here at some point, but if the port failed, it's on Nintendo to fix it. Best thing to do is call Nintendo support.

Why can transferring data be simple? :/

    Because music licensing is hard.

First of all, I am an owner of Wii and WiiU and I have not read all the posts yet. I have not transferred my Wii yet.

According to the nintendo, The Wii mode in WiiU is using the SD card for storage just like the old Wii. Have you tried to use a larger SD card to store all your DLC in your WiiU, or reload them to the SD card in RB3 music store?

2nd, if the problem is indeed the storage size of the basic model. Then the most easy solution is to get a USB hard drive. I get a 500GB Toshiba USB hard drive ($39) to connect to WiiU. But I don't think Wii mode can access them.

The SD card is used for storage in Wii mode. The RB3, at game launch screen, will ask you if you wan to download your DLC content to SD card. I think you will have to reload all RB3 DLC from music store.

I don't know how you get that 64GB card to work with the old Wii. The largest size is 16 GB SDHC I believe. I think the "card deactivating" error maybe due to incompatible SD card.

The problem is people were getting an error at that load screen or whatever. It was not recognizing the SD card.

But as I mentioend in the other thread, someone claims if you put your sd card in your computer and delete all your old rb3 data and then put it back int the wii u, it will recognize it and let you DL songs back onto it.

SO if that's true, then at least it would work, despite being MAJORLY annoying having to redownload tons of songs. But nobody will try it and tell me 100% yes it let them DL to sd card after that.

I would tend to agree with you. I think the old Wii SD card will definitely cause problem. Keep in mind that Nintendo does not allow us to take SD data from other Wii. Once it detect Wii dada from other console, it probably shut it down. I will definitely use a fresh one or reformat them.

Well it wasn't my idea. Someone posting on nintendo's site said he did it (deleted the fodler) and it fixed his problems. BUT, see I dont know if it just started recognizing the sd card and he did NOT try redownloading a song onto it or if he really did and knows it all works. People aren't explaining what they mean by "it works". I am assumign he ddi mean that he tried dling a song onto it afterwards though.

But I dont think there's a place in the RB store where it lists all your purchased songs in one palce is there? So you'd have to go through thousands of songs finding all your old songs again to redownload!
