Official Discussion: DLC Week of 12/4 - The Black Crowes 3 Pack!

Vocals:

1. She Talks To Angels: There's a decent amount of variation, but the chorus gets a tiny little bit long in the tooth.
2. Remedy: The female parts are the best in this song, as they usually are in other songs, proving my jokey hypothesis that Rock Band is a misandrist game.
3. Sometimes Salvation: Does this deserve its devil tier? Yes, because singing the lines of people who sound drunk is always the toughest.

She Talks To Angels is growing on me as a song, but its place in Rock Band is not very fun as a whole. Sometimes Salvation is not quite god awful, but it's still in the running to win the Joker Of All Trades award in the inevitable DLCOTY Awards.

Oh, and you guys are right, Dog Days Are Over is alright on drums, even if it takes forever to get going. Strangely, that would make it the best drums song of its respective week. It should have been Power And The Passion, the one with the solo, but...well, we'll call it the Raining Blood of the skins and leave it at that for now.

Now I want "Maybe You've Been Brainwashed Too" by New Radicals. (Story goes, Gregg Alexander showed up drunk, mumbled stuff that wasn't the song, and they just went with it. Or knowing him it's some kinda obtuse social commentary.)

This is probably my favorite pack of the year. My 2 favorite Black Crowes songs (though we could use a couple more packs). Sometimes Salvation is an ok song too. Played all 3 last night, and had a blast! Remedy has an awesome guitar part, and She Talks to Angels is in my top 5 favorite songs to sing in Rock Band. Great week!

I go in the music store (RB3) and it only shows me the pack.. no upgrade?

i had the same problem. i'm guessing the pro upgrade got lost in the shuffle somehow this week. hopefully HMX will make sure it shows up next week.

My friend bought just the single of the pack and got the pro-upgrade also.
This is so weird.. I re-downloaded the song pack.. I delete it... and re-download and installed it..
Won't show up as available to buy.

HMX devs don't answer every question, it seems. Back when we got the six singles a few weeks ago, I asked why some of the backing vocals were removed in I Melt With You, and it was never answered, so.
