The Thompsons Twins - Doctor! Doctor!
Mainly because it's got doctors and burning in the lyrics.

What I got of this were Dire Straits, The Cure and Genesis.
Of course this also fits in with a prediction I was going to make based on the 6 songs I heard on the radio tonight on the way home. The songs were:
"Imagine" - John Lennon
"Shout" - Tears For Fears
"Paranoid" - Black Sabbath
"Africa" - Toto
"Animal" - Neon Trees
"Champagne Supernova" - Oasis
Of these 6 songs, 3 are already on RB. So the radio gods say we're getting "Paranoid" (which Aaron is), "Africa" (lions lie down with lambs and lions are from Africa) and "Champagne Supernova" (because he is clearly getting high and where was Doc while he was getting high?).
May 20th, 2012: 4 long years since HMX released "Hysteria" by Muse. The wait for more Muse DLC has to end at some point, right?
The hint says that he's "burning up". That could be due to a fire inside (the ancient greeks believed that fevers were due to the element of fire), hence AFI 02 confirmed
AFI 02
Silver and Cold
The Missing Frame (X)
Dancing Through Sunday/The Days of the Phoenix
(think first choice is more likely as pre- Sing The Sorrow era was on an independent label so HMX would leave this for RBN, only exception since RB3 is "Unholy Confessions" by A7X)

Wishlist (possible artists):
[4] The Killers
[1] The Cure
[7] AFI
[3] Sum 41
[11] Linkin Park
[51] Green Day
[9] The Offspring
I do too!
Also, there are other hints that fit for THAT band as well.
A music video for a song by the band I'm thinking of is a sci-fi/spaghetti western that features prominent images of a hawk/falcon (some kind of bird, I don't know).
When certain stars burn up all their fuel and supernova, they leave behind a supermassive black hole. "So, the lion falls in love with the lamb" is a quote, based on the quote about lions lying down with lambs, from Twilight, a film that used a song referencing black holes on the soundtrack.
Aaron is clearly sick and his post exhibts a fear that his time is running out. He's living in a city of delusion. The voices he's hearing could the thoughts of a dying atheist. Or, he's just suffering from space dementia.
However, at the end of the day, some hyper music is all he needs to start feeling good again.
(Yes, THIS is how far I will read into anything to make the hint fit the band that shall not be named. I'm sorry everyone. *facepalm*)

I think everyone's missing a pretty obvious one here. It's not the Counting Crows. You see, Henry is unsure of the specific bird that flies over his head. He guesses perhaps ravens or vultures. It is, of course, neither of those. After all, as he points out, he is "not an ornithologist, damn it!" The birds he sees are actually crows...black crows. Consider the part where he says "I was laying in bed this morning and couldn't tell if the voices I heard were angels or demons." Which is it you ask? The answer is angels. You see, when he says "Jibs, is that you? I can hear her talking to them." In other words, she talks to angels.
Black Crowes - "She Talks to Angels
I saw another forum goer already point this one out, but this was the very first one that I pulled out of the clue: When Henry laments, "Doc, where are you?," he is referencing the music video for "Runaway Train" by Soul Asylum. The video depicted missing children. He goes further with, "This whole thing has gone off the tracks... never going back..." This is a direct reference to the lyrics of the song:
Runaway train never comin' back
Runaway train tearin' up the track
"Runaway Train" - Soul Asylum
The rest of the clues, I'm really not too sure about. There's an almost too obvious reference to "Rocket Man" by Elton John, or "Who Let the Dogs Out" by the Baha Men. Perhaps we'll see them, or maybe they're just red herrings, I don't know. Then there's the "I am in dire need of some kind of cure..." clue. Could be songs by Dire Straits and the Cure, or maybe that's just too easy. What about "Lie down with lambs.?" Is this a possible reference to Genesis - "The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway?"
I even saw a few more less reasonable possibilities in there too. Maybe the "dire" refers to "Dire Wolf" by Grateful dead. We already have a couple other songs from that album. What about the "fever dreams" part? Maybe it's "Fever Dream" by Dashboard Confessional.
Wait...
Aaron needs a cure, but can't find it. So, I'm thinking the DLC this week is going to be some singles:
Bauhaus - "She's In Parties"
Sisters Of Mercy - "Lucretia, My Reflection"
Siouxsie & The Banshees - "Spellbound" X
Joy Division - "Shadowplay" X
It's not The Cure, but close enough. Definitely would be a bassgasm week.
