As long as they put out Hyperbolicsyllabicsesquedalymistic by Isaac Hayes I'm straight. It's really my holy grail as far as songs go (that are actually attainable), it would simply be the most epic keys song in the game and all parts are amazing!

I think that it could be possible to use real guitars to play the classic charts in some way. If they can be adapted for Blitz, why not? Only downside is that casual players would have to tune their electric guitars (or elec acoustics), which I would welcome, but could cause some confusion.

There are some pretty decent cheapy new and used electrics out there that can probably be had for less than the plastic variety. I picked up a kids' (full size) electric for Rocksmith (because my current one has hosed electronics and worn frets) for $20 last year at Sears via slickdeals.net. It has one pickup, but is actually not bad for the price. No finish on the wood, but that's no different than the RB3 Squire (that doesn't even let you play classic charts) for $300.

I'm more into the harmony vocals and drums on RB anyway.
Among the big songs coming to RBN from Ozone!!

I sense something cool coming soon. Look for an announcement before the end.

I met Chef just before he went to whatever planet Scientologists go when they die. I asked him if he would sign my Black Moses album and he said "No." He didn't have time, but I still got to hear Mr. Hayes something with his amazing voice to me directly even if it was a no.

Because Blitz is scaling information DOWN, taking five-lane charts and dropping them to two; turning classic charts to something playable on a real guitar would be trying to add information where there wasn't any before.

Or maybe you mean using a real guitar to play five-lane charts, which basically means you want Rock Band 3 to become Power Gig.

I cannot imagine why anybody would think you were suggesting 'only pro mode'.

They are already doing that :/ Though it's not satisfying everyone -_- Still everyone is getting a little something from their taste of music.

I think RB4 should be like exportable to consoles -_- The wii to wiiu transfer is just ridiculous :/ Which is I'm sticking with dlc being on the wii rather waste effort getting all on the wiiu -_-

I'll go on record as saying that HMX will not release another RB game on next-gen consoles if they do not support backwards compatibility with pre-existing DLC. With a close relationship with Microsoft through DC I would imagine they have been looking into this for at least a year as the dev kits are in the wild and HMX are bound to have some as Microsoft would be more likely to want Dance Central as a launch title then RB. If DLC for that works on next-gen then our questions will be pretty much answered about whether it is possible. Totally not a fan boy thing but I'd say 360 compatibility will be the priority, I don't see Sony surviving much longer given their financial situation.

Using Blitz as an example, if that game didn't support existing DLC I don't think it would have ever been made. It was a mandate from A-Rigg to support it. They know the fan base, they know what we want and if they can't do it I don't see a new RB on Next-Gen.

Needless to say I was burned at the stake for the suggestion. Maybe it's not such a bad idea for the next generation of consoles, especially considering the possibility of DLC not being able to transfer over anyways.
You're fine up until you remove 5 button play. 5 button play is what gets/keeps casual players in volved. You remove 5 button play, and you're better off developing a separate game.

Also, there are plenty of examples of DLC moving over to the next console already. See the Wii to Wii-U and XBox to XBox 360 moves.

You can use the mustang to play five lane charts. It does not work well at at. Unless you like overstrumming every two notes.
