In that case, I presume you meant, "Why not create a wired guitar for the Wii like they did for the 360?" Which I already answered by saying, and I'll paraphrase, "they didn't want to create any wired guitar controllers in the first place, so why make more than absolutely necessary?"

I understood the following conversation between you and Mr-TyK to be "well, why not plug the Xbox controllers into a Wii?" but I evidently misread that.

Yeah sorry, I tend to say things that I want pretty badly sometimes in english. This language is too simple, it breaks my ability to translate from french accurately. lol

Edit: I want to know, how do you know that they didn'T wanted to make them, did they affirmed that at some point? Did I miss something Also, I JUUUUUST remember that the drums for RB1 on wii was wired. The guitar wasn't, though.

There's no real difference, as far as the game is concerned, the dongle IS the guitar. All the wireless connection stuff is built into the dongle and guitar as firmware.

You're talking cross platform there though, and Microsoft has strict standards for controlers that the Wii and Sony don't have. That's why there were devices to let you use wii controlers on the PS3.

Devices? I've never heard of such things. I've heard about the homebrew scene being able to use wiimotes, but then, you can also install any OS you want, therefore windows, therefore bluetooth access, therefore, wiimote access.

There were fake wiimotes you could plug into the GH guitars and connect to a PS3, and there were universal dongles for a few generic guitars. They never did very well (with the market for folks with Wii and PS3 versions of guitar games), but they were out there (I watched them as a Wii player looking to move to the PS3).

Oh boy. Fake wiimote? I wouldn't like this idea considering the GH instruments are detected as a classic controller by the wii, and well, I reaaaaly doubt that this would work accurately without homebrewing your PS3, unless those people really figured a way to make a kind of PS3 controller with the wiimote port on it that can detect the guitar... sounds wayy to sloppy for me.

Fake Wiimote as in device that uses that interface, not an actual wiimote immitation.

They never said anything outright. I simply made an inference based on their actions--if they wanted more wired controllers, they would have made more wired controllers. But no; everything that was once wired ended up becoming wireless in the end.
